Hotfix #84 - 1.10.3 - Patch Notes

Hey Everyone,

Hotfix #84 (1.10.3) is currently rolling out across our platforms. In the meantime, you can read the notes below.

This hotfix comes with some general bug fixes and solves some cosmetics clipping.

General Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with explosion hit detection hitting players from further away than before.
  • Fixed an issue where players could find themselves unable to remove talent nodes when talents are in an invalid state.
  • Fixed an issue where Stim Supply will lock you in the animation where you can’t swap to melee or range.
  • Fixed majority of weapon and ability overheat/peril explosion not working.
  • Fixed performance issues related to the overheat/peril gain/loss in certain weapons.
  • Fixed an issue where the Boom Bringer missile was rendered outside of the model.
  • Fixed an issue where part of the stub pistols was floating around the player.
  • Fixed an issue with floating magazines when interrupting the reload by using the special attack on the stub pistols.
  • Fixed an issue that was limiting chat use on PS5.

Cosmetic Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where some backpack-type accessories would clip with the Ogryn ā€œBaross Patrol Armour (XXXXL)ā€ upper body cosmetic.
  • Fixed an issue where some backpack-type accessories would clip with the Psyker ā€œAureate Mk Vb Psykana Garbā€ upper body cosmetic.
  • Fixed an issue where some backpack-type accessories would clip with the Veteran ā€œMagistratum Mk II Patrol Armourā€ upper body cosmetic.
  • Fixed an issue where the wrong blade ended up being used on the ā€œAssassin’s Bladeā€ cosmetic weapon skin. It is now short again, as intended.

Additional changes

  • Added some clearer information to the Stimm Lab info.
  • Changed dodge stats from the talent trees to also impact incoming ranged damage, instead of just melee damage*.

Known Issue

* Experimental changes meant for mitigating the issue where dodge distance buffs negatively impacts time spent in dodging has resulted in unintended consequences that make dodging too effective. A fix is being investigated on both this and the original issue and will be delivered in the next hotfix.

Sure hope these fixes caught the general instability problems amongst them or this is going to be a long, Darktideless holiday.

Is the FPS issue on plasma fixed? I see no mention of it

As annoying (and OP) as this bug was in many places (eletrokinetic go brrrrr), being able to back-to-back brainburst at 100% peril was quite useful for wearing down gunners on Havoc40 :laughing:.

  • Fixed an issue with dodge stats from the talent trees not impacting incoming ranged damage.

    Does this mean the increased range and dodge timing talent of the Hive Scum is now fixed and working as intended instead of nerfing the player ?

I wonder the same… sure, it was too hard to write what talent they had fixed.
Better to let us guess if yes or no it was fixed…

Dodge linger now applies to ranged attacks, it didnt before and the talent was working just fine, people just didn’t understand how the talent worked

and this is for all classes, so now every class except ogryn has some small immunity to ranged after dodge, so a pretty huge buff across the game for a talent people didnt understand :laughing:

Might be covered by the peril/heat change. It’s caused by log spam when using the plasma. There’s a mod on Nexus to fix it if today’s hotfix hasn’t.

Ok there was no ranged… but you were raking more damages… not the definition of something working for me.

they didnt ā€˜fix’ anything, they changed how dodge linger works, it now no longer only applies to melee, it applies to ranged now too, reading helps you understand how things work

no, you read over what the talent does a few times, ill wait

you can even read the code i just posted that someone found, it checked for is_melee, and now it doesnt.

you can argue against what code the game was running all you want, you will not be right

Someone reported a bug. They don’t think like you…
They fixed something… and I assume that they fixed something cause it was somewhat broken
You keep saying everything was fine… even after the fix.

You have made multiple posts to explain everybody that the problem was only in their mind
Again… Fatshark had a different opinion.

no i sent the code showing that dodge linger has only applied to melee since the game came out, thats been explained already. Fatshark made a talent that increases dodge linger time and makes the dodge faster, which makes the dodge end sooner, which makes you get shot faster… because dodge linger time ONLY APPLIED TO MELEE ATTACKS, now it does not, it no longer checks for ā€œis_meleeā€, i can send the screenshot again id you’d like to read it again

try reading over this a few more times. it’ll help :+1:

Ok you don’t understand

I pushed for such change one time… You submit what you think a bug. But it is not exactly a bug as it works like it should IN THE CODE but doesn’t work like it is DESCRIBED.
It was labelled ā€œBUGā€ and fixed.

You can think they have not fixed anything, I believe that they had to check Nimble and had to fix it. Because when you were picking Nimble you were also signing a death sentence for you.
you can think that there is no link and that after 3 years they decided suddenly to make this change in an hotfix, I don’t believe it…

ive been using nimble this whole time, and it has worked exactly as it is supposed to, but thats fine they buffed every classes dodge except ogryn, im fine with that :laughing:

just can’t wait to hear more people crying on the forums about how the game keeps getting easier
