Hotfix #57 (1.6.4) - Patch Notes

Hey Everyone,

We’ve got a small change going out today. This is specifically for XBOX. However this update is rolling out to all platforms to ensure each platform is on the same version for cross play support reasons.

Hotfix #57 (1.6.4) is currently rolling out to players.

Changes

  • Changes to logging for Xbox specific freeze and disconnect issues.

Dev Note: This will help us with further investigating the issues happening to XBOX players.

When exactly is this update coming out? I just booted up a game and requested to join a Havoc game, was accepted, but I’m getting this message:

Left the game, restarted steam, back in, and it’s still giving me that message when trying to team up for Havoc games.

The others players have to update the game. So until they restart the game, they won’t be able to play with you in same strike team.
The problem is not you, but them.

Please fix xbox. the game DOESNT WORK. There is a crash EVERY match making havoc impossible

We don’t have the fix for all the issues for XBOX yet. What this change allows us to do is better track what’s happening.

I have another request. If anyone is experiencing issues, please, submit a report (https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/requests/new) or comment on whichever thread is relevant: (KNOWN ISSUE: Instability on Xbox After 1.6.2) (KNOWN ISSUE: Error Code: 2014)

We need your XBOX gamer tag or XBOX ID, in order to investigate the crash.

We are also investigating to see if players are able to see a difference if they shut down the game completely before playing, instead of just starting up from suspended. If any players experiencing constant disconnects/crashes are able to test this on their end, and let us know if it helped at all, please do. It’s been very difficult to reproduce this on our end internally, but we’ve seen it some when testing the game on our own personal consoles. This is why we’re asking for the community’s assistance, if possible, to help us get more data. :pray: Please and thank you, friends.

Much more interested in when the patch with the change on Havoc, based on the feedback gathered, and what will be in the patch itself

can rebinds be a thing on console? Very common complaint as well. Did anyone playtest trying to mash a stick in that you also use to aim for the melee weapons that have a special attack?

Freeze n°1. 14:56 (got kicked out)


Mission II < 15:04 - 15:26 >

No freezes


Mission III < 15:42 - 16:12 >

Freeze n°1. 15:52 (got kicked out)


Mission IV < 16:20 - 16:40 >

No freezes


Mission V < 16:40 - 17:10 >

No freezes


Mission VI < 17:16 - 17:38 >

No freezes


Mission VII < 17:49 - 18:03 >

No freezes.

Will log another time with quick resume. As far as i see it doesn’t affect it much, still crashed in the first 10 minutes of playing.

Edit : had 4 games after using quick resume, froze only once, kicked me out and had to reconnect.

Xbox is not the only platform that’s having this issue. PS5 needs fixed as well. Constantly having disconnect issues with a variety of error codes
