Hotfix #28 (1.2.21)

Probably translated from mandarin or a similar language.
What he’s saying is that the curio benefits are multiplicate with each other in the case of reductions.
So it’s not (1 - 0.2 - 0.2 - 0.2), but 1x 0.8 x 0.8 x 0.8.

That said, I’d love to see the datamined values for base tick damage and difficulty multipliers.

No.
The guy showed correctly how damage reductions stack multiplicatively.

With 20% reduction you take 100%-20%=80% dmg.

With 3 x 20% reduction (due to multiplicative scaling, which makes reductions worse, than if they were additive) you take 0.8x0.8x0.8=0.512=51.2% dmg, so it is a 100%-51.2%=48.8% reduction.
Not 60% reduction that you would get, if it stacked additively.

Yeah the person i pulled the number from was up in the feed and I don’t know what difficulty it was.

Well isn’t that dumb, definitely need to be additive, making the investment feel the most rewarding for 3 curios to defend against one type of enemy you consider worth it.

Damage reductions are generally not additive in most games, in order to prevent effect stacking to cause (near) immortality.

Sure, for talents and generic reductions, but if im specifically investing into a defense type against only 1 specific enemy type, therefore cutting off defense from others, it should be additive. Its a negative on a negative if you make the defense worse and you had to choose it over something else.

Fire was OP from all sources. Do your tweaks include fire barrels?

Jump over them. They never changed that fire, it didn’t break toughness just bled through to health damage and you can hop over it.

They should make players immune to fire for 3 seconds after getting revived so that they can move out of the fire.

General invulnerability for 1 sec after revive wouldn’t hurt.
No more 1 shot overheads out of revive.
No more death by fire out of revive.

If you can be revived while in fire, you are close enough to the edge of it (or climb on top of something), to get out in 1 sec anyway.

Honestly think 1 second of full invuln wouldn’t hurt just in general. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve revived someone and .1 seconds later, as they are still getting up, they are grabbed by a mutant or something crazy. Could argue that it’s on my team for not adequately helping during revive I suppose but I don’t see it being abused really either, I don’t think people are going to lose health to down themselves just to not take damage for only 1 second.

I think the 1 second of invuln should clear stacks anyway, but agree.

Yeah, 1 sec invulnerable to everything would be a good option. DRG has this, but it’s for 3 seconds by default and can be increased to 6 seconds with an upgrade. I think 1 or 2 seconds invulnerable for Darktide would be fine.

They also already have the invulnerable thing for when you spawn, so they could just apply that buff for when you get revived as well.

True i was thinking about that, there’s another game I played that had a talent for someone that increased the duration of the invuln to like 3 or 4 seconds and gave them a damage buff too. Can’t remember which one it was.

Just extracted LUA, still broken at 8m instead of 15.
With the new LASPistol variant, add another weapon to the affected list.

is the bug that “close range” SHOULD be at 8m but is instead calculated at 15m? Or the other way around?

Other way around iirc - it should kick in at 15 but instead kicks in at 8.

Nice stuff now could you please fix Exe stance breaking weapon specialist? That’s a pretty big one.

Are you serious Fat Shark? You have just released another hotfix that still does not address the performance issues. It’s coming to a month since I bought the game only for it to be unplayable.

I made a detailed post in both the Part 2 Announcement thread and the Performance Feedback thread and they still have done nothing about it.

I cannot even get a refund because the extensive time I’ve spent trying to fix it ran past the playtime limit for refunding games.

Why are you letting these issues go on for this long???

Pretty sure you can still ask to refund it even over the 2 hour mark, Ive gotten it to work for basically the same issue where a game doesn’t work and you spend a bunch of time trying to get it to work and then refund. I assume we are referring to steam anyway.
