Hotdropping to a match shouldnt start you out with wounds and no 'nades

its really random, sometimes you’ll join with full HP/ammo, other times you’ll be heavily wounded and your gun empty, sometimes you’ll be in respawn screen. at least you don’t get killed in fire when the screen was still black anymore.

Simply spawning into the ‘mission failed’ screen also seriously sucks.

Also shout out for spawning without grenades, which feels super insulting considering bots don’t use them.

On a serious note, I do think there needs to be a minimum total value of HP on actual players in a match in order for a spawn to be activated.

Spawning into either the failed screen or into the middle of a sea of enemies with 2 friendlies down and the 3rd about to be down… And you get no nades and have to reload your empty gun whilst at half health… Is, believe it or not, not very fun. Nor is it even slightly fair.

I believe a minimum HP rule could maybe fix that.

I’m actually happy to hot drop in wounded, and I’ll eat the occasional insta-fail if it means connecting quickly and seamlessly into combat – for me that’s the priority. In a game where you can go from fine to very f***ed in 10 seconds or less, it’s a big ask to predict that a minute or so out.

A short window of invulnerability until interaction is detected would be appreciated (maybe there is one, I just hold right click), since there’s basically no time between loading and the potential shirt-storm on the other side. I’d even take a button press to place you in once you’re done loading.

AFAIK the resources you get when spawning into a game are based on the bot that you’re replacing.

But hey, at least you didn’t spawn next to a demonhost. Now that’s fun times.

Why do we join existing games with missing ammo / half reloaded weeapons and without 100% health?

How do you determine my psyker has 50 HP left, 100 corruption and 1 bullet left in his revolver? It’s almost comical, especially if you spawn in a middle of heavy breathing elites If I join an existing game I never joined before I should have 100% HP, ammo and a reloaded gun. Its enough you often spawn in the middle of a bad situation thanks to how quickplay works.
