ok so its so annoying to be FORCED to join match at 1 wound state cause the bot was nearly dead with almost no ammo or nade slot ammo… its especially terrible when trying to do your auric exemplar and auric malestrom survivor DYING because the bot was nearly dead AND you spawned in their place IN THE MIDDLE of the horde with we should be spawn A GOOD distance back out of any hordes with no enemies AT LEAST within 5 to 10m of us. PLEASE fix this cause this is also the reason many just quit out if they spawn in the middle of a ongoing game and it NEEDS to be changed ESPECIALLY when bots get to spawn with full health an ammo but we dont get the same treatment.

dude i soloed a horde full of crushers, tox bombers and flamers, and managed to do it all without losing any health. im good enough 99% of the time but that doesnt change that its s*** and unfair in general and is unbalanced.

These discussions come up every now and again, and for the most part, if there was an easy option (other than not clicking QuickPlay if you’re trying to complete a trophy sequence) then it’d be in place.
You’ve got to spawn in to take the place of the bot as it is, else it’d just be used as an exploit: people’d hit alt-f4 when downed/out of ammo, then come back in good as new.
Best advice: if you spawn in to the valkyrie, hit alt-f4 and try again if you’re trying to do the sequences. In an ideal world (for you), there’d be an option not to join games in progress, i.e. lobby only, but I think that would tank a load of games if available as most people would select that, and there’d be no backfill to games in progress.

dude its not hard. once a match starts, have a promt that logs the names and accounts of everyone who joins, if someone leaves and somehow gets back in without using the rejoin session button, just check to see if their name matches that of anyone on the log. if it does, than guess what? they spawn in with what their last logged health value was RIGHT WHERE THE BOT IS. its not hard and it doesnt punish people just joining random games with instant death which kills some of the hard challenges JUST BECAUSE YOU SPAWNED IN…
like srly, i shouldnt have to join at 25% health with the other 75% being corrupted with half my max ammo left and no blitz slot items cause the BOT was at that total NOR should i have to spawn in the middle of a horde where i cant move cause the BOT didnt know how to not get stuck in a horde… let me spawn full health and ammo and in a spot without any enemies within 10m of me…

Queuing for Auric quickplay currently is almost guaranteed to backfill into a doomed run. It’s not interesting.

what we need is to not spawn with 0 hp in the middle of a hoard and that would fix A LOT of it my guy.
Yeah I don’t like playing maps from the middle and any way to encourage people stay in the game would also automatically reduce the backfill problems a ton. That said for this particular one you could probably just remember the player ID and give em full HP. I like how DRG works, if you join a mission they literally drop pod you in complete with the other players getting a NEW DWARF INCOMING warning

yea it aint an issue MOST OF THE TIME and for people of at least auric level player skill level BUT that requires both ALWAYS firin on all cylinders and worse, for new and middle tier players that means sometimes you’ll spawn in just to die which ruins the experience for no good reason. like at this point it feels like everyone vouching for no change just is being stubborn cause i layed out EXACTLY how to fix it with simply its 1)give every NEW person who joins full health and ammo and spawn them in a location WITHOUT any enemies within 5 to 10m, 2) log the name and account of every new person who joins, 3) if they leave and come back through ANY MEANS, their name gets checked by the log and if they were in the game, they take the bots CURRENT location and their old hp, ammo, and corruption values from when they left. THERE, DONE… NO ISSUES, NO CHEESE, NOTHING IN ANYWAY THAT ISNT A FULL 100% POSITIVE FOR EVERYONE… WHY IS THERE SO MUCH OBJECTION???

yea it wouldnt fix it but it would stop people from insta dipping in hopes of saving their current auric exemplar achievement run.
idk even know what that means my guy… like why are you trying to dodge and switch the conversations topic the second i validly pointed out how your take was just wrong? like it woulda been better in your case to try saying something like “it would take too much time and effort to do!” or “it would be buggy as hell!” which both are bad reasons but at least are better than an ad homenim.
For me that is the essence of this game: getting thrown right in there and you have to make do with the little resources on your char. It is a free clutch attempt where noone is angry if you don’t make it. Absolutely love it and don’t want it to be changed. Chasing penances is boring in comparison to the standard gameplay

dude on one hand yes but this is like a bug in terms of how it messes you up UNFAIRLY. what makes even havoc not unfair is you getting to go into it FROM THE GET GO rather than being FORCED into the center with half health and ammo because a good player doesnt end up like that in general so its just unfair to force you to start at that because you joined late even though if you didnt join late, you would have been at full health and ammo by that point.
its all about looking at things from their ‘fairness’ which essentially is the question of ‘how much does it respect your skill and abilities or not’ with thats also why on a seperate post, i talk about the specialist and elite sound effects needing to be boosted because they are too quite sometimes in the middle of hordes and or just DONT PLAY if they start doing their thing JUST AS THEY SPAWN inside the spawn doors like for example a pox burster just straight up jumping at you from the spawn door with the door insta closing after they are out meaning you cant even push them far enough away if you tried which is unfair because it doesnt respect your skill and just FORCES damage on you that had it given you half a chance, wouldnt have occured. challenge or difficulty for the sake of it isnt what players love but challenge that skill can overcome is what we want.
