nah even UE5 is capable of doing that.
yes but the engine was made by Fatshark yet they don’t even know how to use it, cause the original main developers left / don’t work anymore at fatshark. hence why optimization is way far worse than vt1/vt2.

totally agree, adding weapons to existing classes (and maybe tweaking their trees) and new maps are what this game needs
nothing is unique to any engine, fyi, especially if you can just edit the engine as you see fit, which UE5 supports devs in doing
there’s been a pretty big cultural misunderstanding of what an engine is or what it does. if your engine doesn’t support dismemberment effects you can just write it into the engine.
I’d really like some new maps. Especially ones like the one with Knight-Commander Dragor.
I’d also like to see more weapons for classes. Like a dual wield sword/pistol combo for Veteran. Ogryn with brawler style knuckles would be sick. As well as a heavy stubber for Vet/Arb/Zealot would be cool.
well I hope more people can keep voicing for it since that’s what the game needs tbh
What, you’re not happy with expeditions? Join the 7 other players having a blast in the game mode no one asked for! Do you like Helldivers 2? How about a jury-rigged Frankenstein version of that!
Yeah we need new maps and weapons and have needed them for a long time. Lately Fatshark has been focused on classes because they bring money in. And also on adding new game modes that no one really wanted for some reason.
+1
But Fatshark like… “we don’t like to make new maps”.

Which is a real shame too because the post-launch full maps were markedly better IMHO than the launch ones, they were on a good roll.
I think maybe the launch ones suffered from the abandoned modular idea and too much reuse and reversed layouts.
I can’t really say anything bad about the later maps, even the half-reused Dark Communion one. They felt more polished and hand-tuned, and new zone like Gloriana’s needed more maps there.
My stance for a long time has been MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPS. It’s so obviously what the game needs that it’s painful.
Yes! Their most recent map game has been strong! We need loads more of it!
Except the Tank and trenches map… nice, but too short.
I’m not keen on the shorter format map either TBH but the design of them is pretty good so credit where it is due.
Also, I am very grateful the shorter format exists…purely for penance grinding! LOL
But yeah when I say “maps” I definitely mean full size mainboard missions ![]()
Not really a hot take quite luke-warm take
Freezing cold take that’s been cryogenically frozen and ejected into the freezing void of space tbh ![]()
The Aeldari joining is moreso due to some lore in the vox comms on Mourningstar + “Memories” found in Mortis Trials and repayable in meat grinder
As we are on a Rogue Traders ship under the collaboration of Grendyls Inquisitorial Warband, sanctioned xenos scenarios do occur under the Warrant Of Trade + Inquisitorial Mandate (especially in Ordo Xenos) + Mark Of The Xenos to show that a Sanctioned Xenos is under the service of the Inquisition
Note that a mark of the xenos can take on any form, so as long as it incorporates the Aquila, Crucis, or Adeptus Terra markings within it.
So, as it goes for those whom have deep dived the lore, the story in Darktide, and what is coming up out of the background:
How an Aeldari can operate in Darktide:
Have it be able to wall run lol
Although we have Hive Scum being high octane fast go go go, Aeldari are even more fleet-footed and fast to aid in repositioning for attacks
Usually armed with Shuriken Pistol and Power Sword or Shuriken Catapult
The question is: Corsairs or Outcasts?
Corsairs mix and match Craftworld and Drukhari weaponry
Outcasts utilize highly accurate, precision-based ranged weapons
Aeldari Shuriken firing weapons are insane as they shoot a burst of 100 in under two seconds
Drukhari Splinter Weapons incorporate toxins
There is many ways to create this and make it work in Darktide
Oooh…this has made me think about how the teleport mechanic works in Dishonoured…and now I am thinking what else could be taken from games like Dishonoured to fit a light-of-foot sneaky and ethereal Eldar!
We’re in desperate need of new maps, but also expeditions could easily be salvaged by making it closer to chaos wastes
It would probably be easier to develop Chaod Waste from the base maps than it would from the Expedition maps ![]()
This game needs less stupid networking more than it needs literally anything else. The gargantuan swings in game quality between one match and the next is impossible to overstate.
