i’m literally saying everything is run by money, and that if it weren’t for greed, you could still offer the highest quality of service or products if you are the owner of your own company or business. all you continue to do is bring up more and more stuff that has no relevance to anything and you stray further and further away from what’s actually being discussed.
i’ve already addressed everything you’ve said and you’re just not understanding it.

I don’t think I ever asked “Why oh why are people talking about console players?”. I asked, first, why are we going down this stupid culture war of PC vs Console. That wasn’t the point of the thread. To which others have chimed in that whenever this subject comes up, regardless of content, it derails to this. I’ve asked if we could side step this conversation. I also asked (later) what was going on in this thread as I wasn’t even sure I was watching a duel between to Hamiltons writing essays on … something?
People also agree.

More players means more money means more investment in the game and longer support for the game. The fact that you (and some others) don’t like playing with console players is a personal problem completely separate from the health of the game. Get with, or make, a PC-only group or suffer the console players. The power to solve your problem is within your grasp.

Yes, it’s called backing out of games or votekicking.
There’s another possibility too, the good players get fed up and stop playing, but they already paid; I’m fine with FS pocketing more cash.
P.S. One good thing about ppl quitting games chasing the auric storm survivor penance, they usually leave.

Having read what you wrote before, I wanted to rephrase the questions to really shine a light on the potential for the game and ask if you honestly believed that these would be detriments. Of course, if you responded in affirmation, it would’ve been another case of agree to disagree.
well to be honest i don´t perceive that future as “golden” (maybe a brief financial injection)
until eventually (and it´s always been like that) player numbers go down back to those playing and keeping the lights on in the first place.
so all i foresee are (delayed by leveling until 30 and auric maelstrom access) 4-6 weeks of “nope” and after 2-3 months i meet my usual suspects again and all is back to how it was.
and this is coming from a dude whose only week of not playing the game since beta was a hospital stay with pneumonia, where i unironically binch watched darktide gameplay and listened to lore audio when the meds made me drowsy.
loving the game doesn´t even come close to describing it.
heck i so far bought mcfarlane figures for 1/3 the sum i invested in my gaming rig right now and not even cared one bit before about warhammer at all.
so “golden” in my book would be eventual p2p connection options if playerbase shrinks below 1000 and continue to play it in 30 years, like i do with gzdoom and eduke32, epsilon quake and a number of games i wager you never heard of.
