Hive Scum Melee Weapons Feedback

Crowbar

Crowbar needs more damage dealt to targets hit past the first enemy, because even with multiple cleave talents (Rampage one, both nodes near Adrenaline) it struggles with horde clear on push attacks into heavy attacks, which should decimate hordes with all that additional cleave. Right now the weapon has better horde clear with just light attack spam relying on chem toxin talent, which I don’t think should be the case.

Also give crowbar and all weapons with long stationary special attacks a blessing that gives the player some kind of damage reduction while they perform special, because unless you plan to reduce the number of Maulers, Ragers and Crushers which spawn in groups, using stationary specials of Crowbar, Eviscerator, Shock Maul and other similar weapons feel counteproductive and too risky for the power their special modes provide.

Bonesaw

The secondary mode of the Bonesaw which applies brittleness should have 1 enemy cleave cap, but drastically increased damage to armor, compared to what it is now. Because right now both toxin types (both yellow and purple/blue one) barely differ from each other in terms of what they bring to the table.

The yellow mode can be for horde clear with push attacks into diagonal heavy attacks with increased cleave, the secondary mode can have capped cleave but drastically increased single target damage (if that was the intention, the weapon doesn’t represent this kind of playstyle) with heavy into light into heavy overhead spam cycle.

Mark 3 Shivs

Shiv mark 3 is really underpowered and has poor moveset compared to Shiv MK1, same problem as Power Falchion where one of the marks is better in every way.

It needs something else to be worthwhile, since Mark 1’s light attack/dodge spam performs better at horde clear than weird Mark 3’s heavy swipes which take longer to hit and feel like they deal lower damage, despite weapon stats saying otherwise.

Mark 3’s heavy attacks have poor perfomance on Crusher, but I wouldn’t say that this mark excels at killing other enemies which Mark 1 struggles with.

P.S. Also please check out my suggestions on how to buff Veteran’s Infiltrate in a non-toxic way.

I agree with what you said about Crowbar that I don’t feel that the risk is rewarded. In fact I love the weapon, but I feel that there is a little of cleave that is missing. I don’t feel it is a big buff that is needed, but something that surely permit to reach new breakpoints… when I mean breakpoints, that’s not obviously on first target, but on the second etc…

I agree also about shivs mark 3 that are weak, just because they lack this heavy attack and have no heavy that replace it and make something better than… what shivs do with light. That’s the problem, shivs clear horde pretty well. So a shivs mark with a horde specialty when the weapon itself is great at that… no way it can shine because you will always compare it to the other mark.
