High intensity gauntlet gone again

That’s it, guys, high int gauntlet is not in the rotation anymore. It was fun while it lasted! Hopefully it’ll be back in a couple weeks, in the meantime I had a couple solo games I wanted to complete anyway… :roll_eyes:

I got on here just to rant about this. They swapped it out for that awful sniper mode too. I stopped playing when I saw that shock gauntlet was gone. I do not find sniper purge fun whatsoever except for maybe a single mission. Regular damnation is just too boring now as well. The way the modifiers are implemented is just horrible honestly. We have to wait weeks sometimes just for a modifier to be swapped out. Sometimes you cant even get a hi intensity either because it isnt set up correctly to have a low, a hi and a regular on the board for damnation at all times. No, instead you get double low intensity back to back for hours at a time. The way the modifiers are set up is so disrespectful to the player’s time (same with crafting… a common theme for Darktide). You log on, wanting to play some hi intensity for a few hours just to be met with low intensity or some horrible modifier like sniper vent purge. No one even likes snipers to begin with!! You only missed the modifier you wanted to play simply because you were unfortunate enough to have a schedule that didn’t line up with the time the modifier you wanted when it was on the board. Just imagine if you logged on to Call of Duty, wanting to play some team deathmatch but that mode wasn’t available, only free for all was. This is what that feels like. Fatshark is gatekeeping our fun behind yet another RNG layer. Also, this may just be me, but it feels like shock troop is on there the least despite the majority of the playerbase agreeing that it is the most fun. Instead, Pox Hounds got to stay on there for a month. Modes like lights out and sniper gauntlet just feel like some cheesy seasonal event that is fun for a mission or two then youre back to playing regular modes, anyway I really hope they fix this horrible modifier system. This is the main thing that makes me stop playing other than my time.

Imagine how crazy it would be if you had a drop down menu on the available missions which would allow you to “attack” at different time: low / high intensity / shock troop presence etc. for higher risk , higher reward scenerios. SHOCKING ideas.

Allowing players to just choose how they want to play the game they paid for?! LUNACY. We here at ineffible decisions incorporated understand that what players really want is to be told what they can and cannot play at any given time. This way we can always keep the experience fresh and unique by forcing them to play stuff they don’t like and don’t care about!

What do you mean people are just closing the game and going to other products? They can’t do that…we are PRODUCT!?

I had to buy the advance wars remake, I killed too many batteries on those way back when. There is an addictive gameplay loop.

As for the Darktide front I finally got my Rampage 4/Uncanny 4 duelling sword 5 and just noticed you can’t proc rampage against pox walkers. So Fat Shark reminded me yes I am a goof for not using force swords. Please put up a rotation that is fun.

Are we even testing new ones anymore? Is that all?

Well, now I can finish that modded Stellaris game with my brother. Did you know there’s a Stellaris mod that gives it RTS combat? Steam Workshop::Stellaris: Better Combat If I squint hard enough, Stellaris seems a bit 40K-ish…

Also learning how to play Terra Invicta, seems fun so far…

I could have sworn push attack has enough cleave to proc it at least on poxwalkers?

Is it maybe specific to the other sabers? Mk 5 has just slightly weaker lights and push. I literally only see the UI icon fighting groaners and groups of dreg stalkers. I spam push attacks all the time it is how you horde clear with any saber. Makes me wish they’d lower the requirement to 2 targets for this weapon.

Hmmmmm that’s bizarre, damage calc lists all 3 DS push attacks as having 6 cleave. Regardless yeah it’s a lot more awkward on DS than any of the other weapons that have it.

Maybe it’s the hit mass multiplier that changes? There is a hit mass multiplier for each weapon against each “armor type” afaik.

Yea could be another weird try to explain it like club swings with 10.5 mass and above still hitting the same targets as the shovel/club swings that have 6~. Who even knows what’s at issue.

Maybe they’ve changed the delay of rotation to be much shorter? Like hours instead of days? It’s gone back to sniper now 3 hours later, I don’t understand x)

Maybe they doubled down on the rng and are generating the pool of possible modifiers via rng

Edit: I said this ironically but upon reflection I mean it unironically

Edit 2: the upside of all this is, now I will have plenty of time to improve my golf game!

Ok so this high intensity gauntlet is really really cool, been enjoying it. But… that feeling when the timer on it runs out and you have to wait god knows how long to get it again… oh boy! the second time it happened that was ALT F4 for me.

This is very bad honestly, I dont alt F4 out of frustration like that.
