Was it tho?
People who like modifiers like lights out should consider playing without a monitor to enjoy gaming to its fullest potential.
And I would rather cut my balls off than play another single game of dog modifier.
At the very least give us permanent hi-int shock troops so we are not forced into this BS when we have time to play your game.
Fatshark policy: “let’s make a game with very good gameplay mechanics, a lore with infinite content, and forsake our entire hardcore gaming customer base by forcing them to play 90% of the time a non-challenging lvl of difficulty or straight up forcing them obnoxious “events” down their throats such as playing in absolute darkness or having endless waves of 1hp dogs rushing them”
SPOILER ALERT: Next darktide mission modifiers: “play only with your feet”, “play upside down hanging up from the ceiling”, “play only by rolling your head on your keyboard”…
Can we have a mod where we have no toughness?? where we play with our bare fists as weapons?? I need a little bit difficulty please I’m dying
Ok sorry I exagerated a bit. One hour then
Where can I see when is the next gauntlet?
You can go check there from time to time. That’s what I do, I won’t launch the game unless there is something at least decent to play…
Karking seriously dude!! Dogs stays on there for a month straight while shock gauntlet, which the community largely agrees is the best mode so far for damnation, stays on there for a nanosecond. I am about done for good with this shitty karking RNG in this game. Fatshark CLEARLY doesn’t want players to have any say whatsoever in how they play the game with the garbage crafting and gatekeeping modifiers therefore that is a game that I do not want to play.
If only there was some way. some mystical out of the box way. maybe just maybe there could be a way where hmmmm i dont know… THE PLAYERS COULD CHOOSE THE MODIFIER THEMSELVES!!! I cant believe how hard this concept was to think up!
One potentially interesting idea is to let players “choose the mission” or “choose the modifiers” with of course always being able to decide on the difficulty.
So you could play whatever mission you wanted at your desired difficulty at anytime, but what modifiers, if any, you get are variable. Or you could pick exactly what modifiers you want (high intensity STG, etc.) and it would show up on a random map.
I don’t know if the above would be an effective way to balance out the matchmaking pools or not.
Common personality problem with some project/product people. Just look at the disasterous decline of Overwatch and how they refused to listen to player feedback or deliver on content when the game got stale. Not all player feedback is good or valid, so its hard to get right, but you can’t ignore it either and just chase the ineffable design until the product dies.
There’s something to be said for doggedly pursuing a vision despite naysayers. But egoistically refusing to address reality is usually catestrophic. RNG is like a spice. A little can add some zing to a meal and uplift it. But if you cover your whole meal in a mountaint of pepper its probably not going to be very pleasant.
