What a terrible attitude.
HI-Schock troop gauntlet itâ ez difficulty after a while, sadly
most of the time are teammates making it hard than it should be
by bad play/mistakes/not cooperating effectively
Nonetheless, its true.
Dont take this the wrong way but that difficulty isnt for build testing or just friday night relax.
You either take THE MOST broken sh-t there is.
(or you are top 0.1% that takes anything as they have 5k+ hours of high competitive DT gameplay)
OR
You just lose to pure mathematics.
(Or you just play stealth zealot, run ahead, kite and finish the map which is boring AF)
Or you just play well and do just fine. A single person can still carry HI5SG. Leaving because people arenât running full meta is a terrible attitude and Iâll stand by that. I literally feel the opposite where seeing full meta load outs makes me want to leave because itâs boring as crap if theyâre not terrible.
You very much donât need 5k hours, letâs not be dramatic.
Neither is it for only meta or bust.
true
many times i did (i dont wanna brag about it, but just to give my view as well)
darktide itself, imo is also way more accessible and easier than VT2 from that point of view, way more smoother to clutch iâd say
and also because of the many techniques you can do, which in fact i agree when there is a lot of skill expression in DT, feels nice
nah, brag away, itâs stuff like that being the salt in my darktide soup anyways.
situations going south, everyone and his mother screaming bloody murder and defeat.
yet you keep calm and carry on (shakes coming in always later after ending screen

and if people are good enough to pull it off, they earned their right to boast.
They can. They can even do it better with the âmetaâ build. But why should they other than some silly ego stroking? I donât see a point in going into the hardest difficulty in the game with the sole expectation of having to carry all the time because I know for a fact that most of my teammates have no business being here. What a strange, twisted mentality.
I think itâs already been pointed out that like 75% if not more of the maelstroms are easier than hi shock. If there arenât Nurgle blessed enemies itâs easier, Monstrous is still pretty far from its original inception of actual full health monster mashes. Most of the times you get +2 blitz or 20% cooldown reduction which makes all the current snowballing situations even more hilarious on the same spawns as regular hi intensity but far less specialists.
well in these games it is all about to learn and improve
otherwise it is also possible to play chill difficulties which isnât an issue
ButâŚnothing force you to play auric histg?
Tbh, until I wanted to complete penance i played regular damnation. Actually I play only that.
But considering the major boost we received, histg is not hard. I donât see why they should lower the difficulty, especially cause there is regular damnation or even auric heresy.
usually people ragequitting being mad for no reason xD thinkin itâs over
at least when they leave, they leave a slot for players joining up that knows how to play etc.
ânoo i want to play the highest difficulty for better rewards!â
(i dont wanna play because it is hard/want challenge)
This is wrong.
As we can see by the reddit posts and outcry here on whenever the OP weapons or classes get slightly nerfed. People relying on OP things never bother to actuall get good at the game, as seen with the outcry whenever overtuned talents and weapons get nerfed. Remember survivalist aura? Plasma? etc.
They simply keep crying and yapping until it gets pushed back into OP levels and threaten to quit the game otherwise.
yeah, i have my doubts when i see âfreshly graduated rejectsâ (lv 30+) in the lobby (unless itâs an alternate character for someone experienced, but those are few).
people often assume that knowing to shoot, block, dodge makes them automatically fit for the highest difficulty. and then they focus on the wrong target, are oblivious to where their teammates are and what they are doing. or possibly just overloaded with how much is going in the game. or get lost in fighting hordes instead of doing the objective.
i cut back on difficulty rather than making a fool of myself when i want to experiment with a new setup. as i said a few times, a team of not stellar, just competent people working together has a smooth ride, and then the next game everyone is all over the place doing their own thing.
A friend and I returned to the game after not playing since patch 12 and jumped back into auric within a day. With the huge power creep of the game, itâs easier than ever to play auric stuff.
Iâm getting huge flashbacks of people saying ogryn was unplayable on damnation and whatnot, meanwhile I was doing high intensity damnation back then (and without using the stupid shield and stubber that was so painfully prevalent). Similar for things like the revolver on zealot.
Not everybody learns at the same pace, just because it might have taken you several hundred hours to be comfortable not crutching on meta to do HI5SG doesnât mean everybody takes that long. (Or could potentially take longer) Recommending relying on hard meta is unhealthy as crap because people then donât learn how to deal with things like swarms of ragers/maulers and whatnot because they can just cheese them.
We were just complaining about that yesterday on Discord when there were no HiSTGs on the board (yay for MMT mod). Personally I would have liked HiSTG level diff to be the baselines for Maelstroms, they shouldnât be easier.
As I said before histg should be the baseline for the entire auric board with the actual modifiers added on top.
Revolver has been buffed at patch 13.
Before it was a niche weapon, after it was an OP weapon.
Players have not learnt, they just adapted.
tbh bolter does the same as revolver if not better
that revolver feels have been balanced itself
in fact recently, not seeing that much often anymore in auric
considering that with bolter you can delete entire scab gunner patrols and ragers patrols
along with few crushers
the only benefit of revolver is that is quick to reload, and pull out for specials
