only difficulty that is challenging and a lot of players enjoyed and required solid teamwork, it was bad enough you had to wait few map rotations to get it but now it’s disabled the whole week…
Where can you see that it’s disabled for the whole week?
it will come back.
Now conditions are randomized… and that’s great.
But, as I said numerous time, the game should propose, at least, 1 low intensity, 2 normal and 1 high intensity at any time for heresy and damnation
modifiers rotate weekly, no? except the weekend one
I have no idea always assumed it was random.
yesterday I did purge vent + snipers (was great).
But pretty sure I have seen also gauntlet.
Maybe I am wrong, but before it was one condition until they change.
Since the last patch, it seems that it is randomized… but maybe I am wrong.
EDIT thanks weeping.moon for the quote…
Oh, yeah that went over my head.
We are trying to rotate the new condition combinations frequently so you get a chance to try them all out. You should be able to find High Intensity Sniper Gauntlet on the Mission Board again this weekend !
What about shock troop gauntlet? It’s the difficulty that feels like tier 6 and a lot of players who want more challenge exclusively played it. now we have to wait for a week or possibly even more until it’s back in rotation

I think OP is specifically referring to hi intensity shock troop gauntlet. Can I suggest relabeling damnation hi intensity shock troop gauntlet to “tier 6: pandemonium”, just so this difficulty is reliably available? I and many others find this particular difficulty/modifier to be by far the most fun thing in this game, and I wish it was available all the time.
Just to elaborate a bit: I think almost all of the many many requests that you’re getting to let us pick maps/modifiers are specifically about wanting access to damnation hi intensity shock troop gauntlet. While I think you should, in general, let players pick maps and modifiers, possibly that’s contrary to FS’s design intent. I think you can satisfy the essence of these requests, without modifying your design substantially, simply by making this particular difficulty/modifier combination reliably available – and within the constraints of your current mission board, I suspect the easiest way to do that is to simply relabel this combination “tier 6”, and make a single tier 6 map always available on the board.
Damnation Hi int shocktroop gauntlet is all I play when playing zealot now and will level my psyker if I ever play when its not available.
Your crafting systems kinds suck so people who want to just grind matts stop since the gear is way to random and most people just want the highest challenge now.
Every time I played it the game would fill up immediately and we would get 20-50% in and wipe and do it again and every one was hyped for it.
Please make it a permanently available mode that just keep changing map.
FYI this doesn’t work very well.
I have friends who have been playing a couple times a week here and there (100+ hours total) and still have not seen lights out. I’m in a similar boat - I’ve only played it once. We would all like to play it but it just hasn’t come around when we have time.
This is why limited availability time gameplay is really really not a good idea. People have lives outside of playing your game lol
Again? I don’t think i saw it even once last weekend. It was all low int or normal. No wait, a couple of times if i think carefully.
I did get a brief chance to try hi-int hunting grounds and while i’m certain it was an unusual one, it was very fun to be swarmed by like 40 scab shooters, a plague ogryn and a pack of dogs, all at the same time.
This is the part I truly don’t get. From what I’ve seen, lights out or something like that usually only shows up for a couple hours here and there on varying days of the week.
So like, what are we supposed to do? Drop our work to go play? Tell my kids that we gotta head home right now so dad can play his game? Is their design intent literally just to say “well too bad, so sad. So, wanna play more or what?” to people who don’t have like, 6 hours of free time every day to try and catch them? It just feels so disrespectful to our time. I don’t think I’d mind if at the very least there was 1-2 conditions that were active for a whole day, so that way at least I could go “oh hey, it’s lights out today anyone want to play?”
Problem with that of course, is that if it’s a condition that people don’t like, then it reduces their options for what they want to play - which is a very real issue as well. I know a lot of people really dislike lights out, but I really liked it. A lot of people here don’t like low-intensity, which removes 1/3rd or more of their options for what they want to play - but I like them for my friends who are still not particularly good at the game and are still learning/improving. They behave like a decent “in between” level.
Seems like there’s a lot of polarizing opinions on these conditions, people like some, and don’t like others. Oh, what to do? What a quandary. How could this possibly be solved? Maybe giving a bit of agency on how we spend our time may be a decent idea to explore. I hear other games, including games made by this same developer, achieved this to a pretty successful degree.
A time table that tells players the schedule of exactly when which modifiers will be active during the current week, could help.
In case they are planned out like that, and not randomized to a degree.
Just add a button next to the global condition.
In case anyone is wondering why my mission board looks like this:
Sorted Mission Grid → aligns missions in rows and sorts them by difficulty
Which Book → shows appropriate tome/grimoire icons for secondary objectives
Because you’re QA testing the new modifiers.
