Heresy materials rewards should be the same as Damnation

Its come to my attention that there are plenty of people who find damnation too challenging. But there are also plenty of people who find it too easy. This is creating some of the low intensity enjoyer vs hi intensity enioyer tension. I propose low int be removed but materials gathered in Heresy be the same as Damnation. That way people stop coming to damnation only to ask for the toughest challenge in the game to be made easier.

This sounds like a win-win for everyone, which is the best kind of win.

Isn’t low intensity (Damnation/Heresy) also useful for players, who

a) want o try out a difficulty (enemy strength & damage), but don’t want the full challenge yet.

b) Damnation, but with less chance of player deaths.

c) Adapt to the Environment

So, while I’ve nothing against your idea per se,
those points (maybe other i didn’t think of too) have to be addressed somehow.

That is true. My hypothesis is that a big chunk of low int players are playing just for mats and not for fun, a perverse incentive. So if the mats were there in heresy they would remain where they are happiest.

If the population for low int sufficiently declines we may see the modifier removed. But i’m genuinely interested in players having more fun and grinding in boring modes less.

Regarding Low Int Sedition:
How about a voiceover from “Dear Esther” or maybe a pre-uprising (<- the event, not the difficulty) mission version.
You would spook the locals, as the Inquisition does…

Yes. I have walked back my previous suggestions regarding this. The main issue is crafting is an end game activity. This is why there should be another store function at armory exchange. Acolyte Store or whatever drum up the name design team. In it weapons are guaranteed to have 360 rating, one of every weapon type AND curio is here. Make the weapons expensive for end game content. Weapons with less than 360 rating (curios under 68) should have a 50% crafting materials reduction.

There, now you can seperate plasteel from the main grind because I switched the hurdle of mass crafting quality ratings to dockets.
