first of all i know there might be topic that are similar, but iam a big fan of this game but iam so frustrated of havoc, iam a very good player, iam playing this game everyday but since i play havoc my fun just crashed to the bottom.
For example the modifier Ritual is extreme bugged, sometimes its okay, but most of the time it spawn somewhere far far away, then spawns in 4 Bosses from 2 of them are twins, the normal ranged guys are extreme OP , they just two shot you. Its impossible to play as non meta build and even with meta build its insane difficult. I play auric maelstrom and doing well but havoc , its a whole other level of difficulty. Iam stuck between clearance level 19-25 cant get further because i derank most of the time, cause i loose all the rounds.
Please FATSHARK do something with this mode, balance it, at level 40 you can make it brutal hard, i dont care but from 20-39 it shouldnt be that hard, its impossible. I just need my 4 penance done, its all i have left do to in the game.
I stop playing the game and i dont buy any more skins, till this gets fixed. =/
There is no requirement nor much rewards to go to high havoc. Everyone has a skill cap they’re unlikely to break, and for the majority of us this will be significantly under the point of being comfortable with high havoc (I’m talking about myself here too before someone accuses me of being condescending). Penances aren’t worth much of anything, and it’s weird to assume they’re all meant to be accessible to everyone in the first place.
Free your mind from the idea that there is something inherently more valuable about playing higher Havocs. Find the difficulty level you find most enjoyable and play that.
I’m sorry but people can and do play max havoc, and lowering the difficulty gives them nowhere to go for the difficulty they want to play. Meanwhile if it’s too hard that’s cool, there are plenty of lower difficulties to pick from.
No making only Havoc 40 brutal and the ones under that much easier isn’t a good solution. It’s meant to be a smooth gradient so you can find the most fun place on that scale for you to play.

OR if OP’s serious about getting those Penances done, my advice would be to watch a mixture of Darktide videos from a few different Content Creators and see what could be learned from them. Hank, JTCLive, milkandcookiesTW, Reginald, Tanner Lindberg, there’s a whole lot of them. I’ve been watching ChocoB for years and they’ve helped me out a lot, although their videos require personal analysis because they don’t commentate.
To name a specific example, I learned to retreat instead of standing my ground while clutching on high-Difficulty Missions from ChocoB’s videos. Although, retreating for clutches admittedly isn’t something that works as well in the current iteration of Havoc 20+. Regardless, this advice might help OP improve. It’s better for OP improve themself instead of complaining about the Difficulty on Havoc 20+ while expecting others to cater to them.
Yeah that and hop on the official discord to find a dedicated group with good comms. Havoc isn’t really built around PUGs after all (nor should it be).
Well, there is some truth that there are obviously bugged features in Havoc, granted. But I wouldn’t get your hopes up with Fatshark fixing any of that anytime soon, honestly. This sort of reminds me of a post a guy made a week ago about how he didn’t like overheads in Havoc, because of the one-shot, insta-deaths. Even though it’s been around for awhile & it’s super simple to negate & master (skill issue). He was just pissed & wanted people to cater to him instead of literally practicing. So, basically, it’s the same thing here, just about… You just need to practice or just stay out of high Havoc games if it’s too hard on you or it’s beyond your skill level. My other suggestion is to try & get some friends & establish a pre-made like myself & others, people you can count on & trust. There’s many Reddit/Discord groups, you can find others on, right. Havoc shouldn’t be a cakewalk at all, but it’s better with people in your skill bracket, obviously. The game mode isn’t meant for the common pleb.
I like the difficulty, but I don’t like when the game just says “no u lose now”. Like spawning a bunch of specials or bosses with zero sound cues, hiding Daemonhost rituals behind other boss health bars so you don’t know that they are there, simply causing you to die for literally no reason, glitching you through the floor or throwing you into an inaccessible area, or just straight-up spawning literally six bosses in a very, very small area that is literally impossible to counter-play them.
And failing that, the server literally crashing when your team is doing well.
Just in the last two days I’ve had runs where, on Hab Dreyko, a player is thrown down to an inaccessible floor by a boss just after the first scanning event, and then when we’re a man down it spawns 3+ bosses on the extremely narrow steps area. I’m sorry, devs, but that is not a place where it is possible to fight multiple bosses, especially after you’ve robbed us of a player.
In my day when a game became too difficult we either persevered by trying the same boss over and over for hours until we beat it. Or if we didn’t enjoy it, we’d play something else.
Accessibility gaming and insta-gratification have ruined video games.
This coming from someone who doesn’t play Havoc anymore either. It’s not fun to me.

My goal in the game is to finish all the penance, i play this game since beta, i know how to play. Havoc is not just difficult its insane and its not fair. As I stated, you can make havoc difficult as you want, at clearance level 40 ,but i cant even reach this difficulty its impossible, and i am on discord with a group and play with randoms, sometimes i got such good groups its possible to finish a mission, but its so rare. Iam writing in the section of the forum where Gameplay Feedback is desired, so please, all the people here you “advice” me get gud, go away. Thanks.
instead of being motivated to get good enough clearing havoc 40 reliably you jump at the low hanging fruit and want some bling bling that’s rather a laughing stock if people equip certain titles or portraits instead of showing real tangible skill that makes you worth something ingame?
pffft you leave either way, whatever comes first penance clear or next hot game, why bother?
i call bullsh!t, cleared multiple havoc 40 with full health ogryn in random-only groups and did max boss damage among other things, so scoreboard wise i wasnt carried but contributed equal to the successful outcome.
or… took copious amounts of energy drinks or whatever it took to break past it
oh and skipping school until you succeeded helped as well, not having to waste precious time at such “nonsense”
back in the day when tekken 3 was just released, i lost a match to some random fat kid, bought the game, trained every combo with paul to perfection and beat that lard-ass to the point he never showed up in that game store again

Yeah I get that’s unhelpful advice, which is why I directly argued against your “just make Havoc 40 crazy and lower the bar for everything below that” point:
Obviously if you don’t want advice fair enough to disregard everything else I said, but I would like to hear your counter argument to this point if you’re willing.
My concern, to be honest, is that they created 2 game modes that I feel boring…
But still we don’t have a way to play solo and still we don’t have any game mode that is about short gaming sessions.
30 minutes without any interruption, it is too much. Since I started playing Dune, every days I realize that the missions last too much time….
Havoc on paper is not that bad. It forces you to play as a team. This point is great when you compare with Auric. This week I played 1 or 2 matches every evening… I have got 1 excellent team… all others had rushers in the team that were never waiting others and complained when we failed (and of course, none of them made the link between the fact they have died first far away of others and the mission failure….).
Are you serious here? The missions in this game feel like nothing, a fleeting moment. At no point I felt them to be “too long”. Like, how much shorter it can even be, and why? Make it shorter and it’s mobile (so trash) games-short already.
I don’t even like havoc, I think it’s tedious and unfun. I prefer to stick with Aurics. I gave up on the dream of 100% achievements as soon as Havoc dropped and I realized it was going to be a steaming pile of crap that would be miserable to grind to H40.
