Havoc has managed to make aurics miserable now as well

This is just what happens every time new players flood in from an event or platform release. It takes time to bring new people up to speed.

Just add patience :salt:

I have true level disabled outside of the social menu because I think judging based off of it is foolish. I only look out of curiosity when someone is driving me up a wall for whatever reason.

The gameā€™s servers are already garbage enough that a sniper can delete you that you blatantly dodged, making it so regular shooters can do similar sounds god awful, not fun. The game just isnā€™t responsive enough in general to be having that snapshot level of damage. Itā€™s certainly harder, but they could also make it harder by having enemies have a 5% chance to one shot you. Would it make it harder? Sure. Would it actually be a good way of increasing the challenge? No.

Fair point. I have a very good internet connection so I rarely have issues with this ā€“ or rather, if I do have issues, they tend to be bursty, so the connection is either rock solid or itā€™s super super janky and itā€™s obvious I need to quit and reconnect. If I didnā€™t have a reliable connection to the servers I would probably feel differently about the toughness changes in havoc.

That said, in the 3 havocs Iā€™ve done so far, I havenā€™t experienced any failed dodges or getting downed by janky glitchy stuff. I donā€™t think itā€™s happened to anyone on my teams so far. Could just be luck tho, idk. On havoc 17 we did have 3/4 people completely disconnect once (all at the same time, so obviously a server hiccup), but it was a 100% disconnection (no jank) and they were able to reconnect without issue.

Ouch.

i guess everyone tries maelstrom now because itā€™s the prerequisite for havoc.

there are plenty of people who somehow play on autopilot and keep repeating mistakes, even at 150+.

Oh man, that sucks ass.

First time I played it, it was awful, nobody accepted me, and those who did, quit after one match, usually the host, so team disassembles too because Havoc level isnā€™t given to non-hosts(very cool game design, I love it, itā€™s absolutely not sarcasm for sure).

Also, I could not find anybody who were the right Havoc level for me, so I were playing low level Havoc mission that gave nothing.

But I think you should give it another go, yesterday I found 3 cool guys who helped me on 21 and 22 Havoc, they were really good, and they said I was too, it was fun.
They also were really good at healthy teamplay, they said ā€œThank youā€ and gave stuff to each other and oriented themselves depending on the team, it was gg indeed.

easy solution, get good and clutch the run otherwise drop the elitist attitude if you canā€™t clutch auric damnations/maelstroms.

I figured out a build with the wave sword that I used today to clear H29. Of course, I use deflector on it, have shield bubble, and flame staff

The irony of saying get good while saying Iā€™m the one with an elitist attitude.

Also didnā€™t say anything about failing the runs, just them being miserable.

Terrible reply.

Itā€™s not elitist to want teammates who are, you know, actual teammates and donā€™t do things like hoover up 90% of the ammo on the map.

It happens every major update. Swarms of rusty and mediocre players come back to the game and hop into Aurics.

Yep. Never seen so many terrible players in Auric. Thought itā€™d be a step up from QP Damnation. But God was I wrong.

Iā€™m telling you guys, they quietly buffed aurics. These missions are 10x nuttier than before the patch.

Not saying you guys arenā€™t getting paired with bads, maybe you are, but seriously these missions arenā€™t the same old same old

Iā€™ll remember to keep picking ammo up now to get more knives to throw.

Itā€™s really weird you just replied to this 5 days later when Iā€™ve seen you post in other topics.

I see a lot of ā€œItā€™s a bunch of new playersā€ but I feel like this is probably an issue on both ends, since a lot of old timers are likely still grinding their way through Havoc. I know I am. I mean, I can only reasonably play 1-2 Havoc games a day here and I get rejected from every 30+ match because my clearance level is checks notes 29.
