When the game was first released, solo mode was a core feature that influenced my purchase; when will/is this feature going to be implemented?
You have just released a paid DLC and as yet have not delivered core features. When will these features be added?
If that feature has been cut, when will you be announcing that change?
I purchased the game with the expectation that you would add promised features. where are they?
its def been cut and its to keep people from using cheats in unreportable ways to get pennances.

Not really speculation, and they already dropped theri supposed solution to solo play which is duos. If its what you are looking for out of the game, you should probably refund. If we do get it, id give it 5 years.
I’m asking in hope that their community team will address the issue.

they won’t be announcing it or doing anything to have it be in the game, not without a class action lawsuit against the main company in sweden. they DID commit breach of contract and do not care to add it without threat of losing their money.
that’s not really how it works in most developed countries, we have government consumer protection commissions and so forth that deal with that.
I’m just asking the question as a good faith gesture. If they do not wish to answer then that is their prerogative I suppose.
Solo and Duos were announced at the same time originally, Duos is not a ‘solution’ to lack of solo play when they were originally planned side-by-side.
And if their concern was really cheaters, it’d be easy for them to just outright say that, no? Instead all we got was “its ready to go and coming just after launch”, which turned into “Its being revised” which turned into “Its not a priority right now” which turned into silence, with no clear explanation for how or why this happened.
Literally all they have to do is say WHY it was indefinitely delayed like this and most of the people asking for solo mode, myself included, would likely just move on.
The primary issue is that FS themselves completely refuse to acknowledge it beyond even the most vague terms.
As long as it’s not officially confirmed, it’s speculation.
If you specifically bought it to play solo, and haven’t played a ton already you can probably request a refund and get it. You may not be able to get it automagically via steam but put in a ticket with FS and see.
But if you’ve played like 500 hours already but ‘really wanted solo’ IDK what to tell you.
It appears to have been quietly dropped, but frankly, I don’t understand why. VT2 had solo play, and it worked well enough. They obviously have their reasons, but they should be honest about it.
Vt2 was also peer to peer.
As for it being a refund causes, I think they’ll hinge on the matter that solo wasn’t used as advertisements per se.
I received an email from Fatshark Support indicating that the advertised solo mode has been removed from the games scope and will not be worked on.
They have not yet processed my refund or offered an indication as to when they will be doing so. Still waiting to hear on that.

it’s just the same “at this time” nonsense, which is kind of what I expected. They did not comment on the refund request at all, which I also expected.
Fatshark does not act in good faith with their customers, but the expectation here is that you make a good faith effort to resolve these issues yourself before pestering consumer watchdogs. I’ll make another request, adding purchase date details and copies of their repeated deferments of service vis a vis the purchased solo mode, then ask again.
If they again refuse to acknowledge the lack of delivery then I feel I’m within my rights to make a fuss. Best case I can take them to a civil tribunal and, seeing as they won’t be flying here for that, win by default. it’s all free to do so I may as well

Well you paid for it, so it should be. They don’t get to change the deal just becasue they already got paid.
the email from Fatshark boils down to; “Thanks for contacting us. Currently, this isn’t a priority for Fatshark, as we’re focusing on other areas for improvement in Darktide.”
If they can sell a paid DLC they can finish the product I paid them for.
Fatshark are frauds. I came to them for a refund after they refused to add solo mode with bots like we had in VT2, and they refused it. I only bought it for solo with bots, and I only played long enough to level up the characters so I could use them as bots. I will never buy another Fatshark product.
It should be, I agree. Hope you get your refund. Me, I’ve got more hours in this game than any other I’ve ever played, so I’m content with what they’ve delivered. I understand things get shifted around based on the priorities of a company that’s responsible for the livelihoods of 100+ people. Not saying you don’t, just that I sympathize from that angle too. It’s annoying, but it’s not a deal-breaker for me.
