This is a stretch and I never expect this to be implemented but I had this idea that I thought was good and I wanted to share it just for the hell of it, maybe people agree maybe people hate it.
Hadron should have 2 additional options with “Surrender Weapon”. The options would be something like “Scrap Weapon” and “Strip Weapon”.
Surrender Weapon : Destroy the selected weapon and in exchange permanently learn all blessings the selected weapon carries.
Scrap Weapon : Break down selected weapon into plasteel / diamantine equal to 50% of the maximum available crafting materials available from corresponding difficulty missions (IE. White rarity yields 50% of maximum crafting materials available in sedition missions, Green rarity weapons yield 50% of maximum crafting materials available in Uprising missions, ect).
Strip Weapon Strip the selected weapon, destroying it and in return providing you with 1 selected stat from a weapon which can be applied to any weapon of the same class (IE, Strip Devil’s Claw to gain 80% Finesse stat which is then applicable to any other Devil’s Claw of any mark. Applying this part would override the weapons previous Finesse stat, changing it to the stripped weapon’s 80%)
This way you have much more customization over what weapons have what stats, Ideally a weapon with all stats at 80% (resulting in a base rating of 400 I would guess) would then be achievable, if only by means of stripping other weapons. You can pick your favorite weapon types, max their stats out and have the plasteel to upgrade your weapons just through playing the game and purchasing things from brunt’s armory.
I think this makes the game much more rewarding for players very dedicated to creating exactly the builds they want to see while also providing realistic access to “godrolls” for more casual players because they don’t have to do as much RNG in order to get the high stat weapons they want. And they can hang onto weapons they have any sentimental attatchment to without fear of them falling off completely.
Likewise players doing challenge runs with newer characters don’t have to feel bad about getting good rolls on weapons with bad blessings or good blessings on weapons with bad stats. Ideally this can all be implemented with minimal changes to how the game functions already. I just think it would add a lot for players at every level of play and make it all in all more rewarding the more time you put in. Anyone agree or have other suggestions or ideas? maybe improvements?
