Others Kruber career do not vastly rely on their aura buffs to exist in the team (at least they do not rely of OTHERS getting the buff). This is an important part of GK.
Duties are given by The Lady of The Lake. And rewarded by The Lady of The Lake. So it’s not “Kruber” who gives the effect of the buff, but The Lady of The Lake.
If you want to argue this way then… duties are only given to the party when the Grail Knight is part of the team, therefore we can expect that Grail Knight’s presence is required in order to “deserve” said buffs. By fulfilling said duties, the Grail Knight is blessed by The Lady of the Lake and through him she spreads the blessing onto the rest of the party. This means that if the Grail Knight is far away, the blessing dissipates.
I mean, it was not the only argument. But it still not a “war cry” of some sort if you want.
I’m all for auras to earn a bit of more range (I actually ask for that in thoses forum). But I’m opposed to Grail Knight blessing becoming “auras”, as it is already a character with a pretty fine but thin balance and blessings becoming auras would probably nerf him too much.
It would only nerf those who do not want to stick with him and run off. In this case you do not deserve to be blessed if you abandon the bearer of The Lady’s boon.
I mean… you could argue that only one person can carry the chosen book or grim (and then throw it away - which the Lady does not mind for some reason at the moment), but still if you abandon the blessed knight your contribution should be forfeit.
Ah nah, here, this is not lore related. Indeed it’s a bit weird that losing the tome do not lose the buff, but that’s one of the strenght of the GK and it should probably stay like that.
I would prefer all tomes & grims missions to be removed and replaced by others objectives though. As it will also give more randomness to the quests when entering weaves (where you can’t get any quest tomes & grim related therefore you get the same ones over and over). Tomes & grims should probably stay OPTIONAL (or for weeklies) that you don’t “need” in order to play as you like.
I don’t know if I would make the other auras map-wide or not… But they should be larger. For sure.
Currently they are almost completely irrelevant… the gameplay is not meant to let players to be always near each other.
Now, apart this, the comparison with GK’s duties… hasn’t much sense. Because an aura is a simple passive… while, about duties, the entire career works around them (and there is also a “lore-reason”: they aren’t a GK’s bonus, but a gift from the Lady).
i really don’t know what is problem on auras deve can adjust them to be
wider than normal …and that way ppl who dies who has completed the quest and goes out the buff goes there too so that way it stay much more balanced …its odd that everyone gets passive buffs to whole mission
But is it really an exploit? Isn’t it a different game mechanic? Isn’t it good than you have some choice on what to do with grims and tomes? Except carrying them or leaving them. Now you actually get to use mouse2 with a grim!
I would rather have the duties fine-tuned to work with the current mechanics.
I think the problem is rather the randomness of the duties, there should never be a reason to restart a round based on luck. Perhaps you should get the first two/three fulfilled duties out of all duties instead? So you try to avoid killing specials
Lore wise it is defensible, I mean, the Lady of the Lake is an elven godess who basically created a nation based on honor and valor (based on french medieval aristocracy for some reason and naming them after Britannia, i.e. their archenemy the spiffing Brits) for the sole purpose of defending Athel Loren from the forces of Chaos and the lumberjacks of the Empire.
I really like this idea. For a nat bond user you’re still getting the benefit of enhanced regen, and for everybody else you’re getting better temp health generation + better potions/medkits. And of course as you pointed out it doesn’t mess with another class’ playstyle (only Zealot, but it’s still an unhelpful interaction currently).
I’d ballpark it at +20% healing base, so 30% with the enhanced quests talent. That might be too much, but still seems overall a nerf to the current version (which it should be, double nat bond healing for the whole party even if it didn’t stop thp decay is clearly too much IMO).
It doesn’t need to be nerfed. It just needs to be fixed. It’s highly unlikely it’s supposed to stop thp decay as it currently does. It’s more likely supposed to be another version of NB.
You really don’t think party wide 2x Nat bond healing from just 1 of 2 quests is too much even if it didn’t stop temp health decay? Could you elaborate?
I don’t see how this could be good. All it does is makes CC characters better for Cata, as they can CC and bandage, and makes item management a bit more awkward.
It benefits people who don’t want to go for book runs, and people are doing them don’t have to worry.
It also creates disparity between his kill quests.
I agree. The Ubersreik five (or four) should be destroying grims as soon as they find them instead of keeping them. Those Skaven grimoires are of Chaos and should be destroyed. There should actually be a better bonus if the team discards a grimoire.
Confused at what you mean. It’s supposed to be 1 hp per 5 seconds I believe. Exact same as NB. And I don’t think it’s OP because 1) the rest of the career’s toolkit is trash; and 2) NB is nil value at least 90% of the time.
The enhanced version you can get with talents is double rate, so 1 hp every 2.5 seconds. I mean, if that’s not a bit much, shouldn’t we be buffing nat bond ASAP? It must be considered a pretty rubbish trait if you can take away its downside, double its proc rate, apply it party wide and it’s still just considered eh.
Well that is probably the bug. If it was works like other NB effects, it would just be 1.5 hp per 5 seconds with the 50% talent. And yes, NB is seriously bad. Like really bad. There is not a single build where it should be taken.
