i’d also like it if EK primary was a damaging beam one can keep aimed on target like the quake lightning gun, so people actually have to aim. secondary can have more stun and use its auto-aim within a cone. anyway, ball spam is tiring, i’m glad the quell-cancel was fixed.
The lab is the lab, there’s more going on in an actual game. Ignoring Warp Charges, try prebuffing with 5 lclicks with the Tactic that gives it rending or whatever.
On a stock Lab with minimal but not maximised buffs my EK 2 shots a Crusher (theres 5% hp remaining, but in a real game there’ll be ancialliary damage flying about and if there’s not I know how much hp it’ll have left and a 3rd or melee, or some lclicks (because rending) will finish it off.
Buffs I would like to see, are not damage or any mechnaic fiddlnig, its in a good place of being the easymode chaffclearer. I’d like to see it have better mobility. Im aware it cant have GREAT mobility because it’d become cheese gimmick, but perhaps a base reduction of channelling move speed of 50% so that the tactic would still work with it, but not really add much. Which isnt so bad as it has much better Blessings anyway.
Honestly, I play all classes but mostly Vet and Gun Psyker and EK is the only staff I enjoy.
If Ogryn/Boss spam wasn’t a thing in Auric and Havoc, then Electrokinetic staff would be fine as is. But the fact it’s subpar against Ogryns, hordes and Bosses means the melee must be efficient in both horde clear and anti Boss/Ogryn for consistent efficiency.
Could also go BB, Empyric Shock and Empowered Psionics, but that’s not as consistent and requires a lot of talent dedication that doesn’t synergize well with the rest of the build.
Personally I think Havok, needs to be removed until reworked. It’s a complete joke of game mode, that does nothing but spam things.
It’s just lazy garbage to pander to ego’s that heavily rely on meta builds.
The fact that it can spawn 12 enemies or so on top of each other, shouldn’t be used as stick to measure balance. It’s a stick to measure how appalling the devs have done when it comes to making things harder.
Anyone who think Havok is good needs to give their heads a wobble.
So I couldn’t care less about performance on Havok, coz Havok can literally do one and simply disappear.
Even with 6 stacks of Warp Charge, 30 stacks of Scriers, 5 stacks of Perfect timing, and it still stuggles with killing stuff on half charge, or specials and elites.
It just isn;t consistent enough with damage output at all.
It really needs a rework, as if it is not AoE like the others, then it needs to make up for it in single target damage, and it doesn’t.
Not to mention it’s auto aim is a joke, target in front of you, you aim at it, and targets something a mile away that is no threat to you. It’s an inconsistent frustrating mess. When it has no need to be.
