FS
FS is supposed to grow a community, you clown
FS
FS is supposed to grow a community, you clown
Name any creteria of a game doing well then
Broham, thatâs a straight up smoke-bomb-evasion response. Youâre mad other people are complaining about something on the internet, and you donât really have anything to talk about or say or add, but you want to be mad anyway.
Again, your entire posting history is drive-by complaining about other people complaining. You donât even post about things you like. However sad you think other people are, reflect on that for a bit homeslice.
Iâm just trying to give you lemmings some perspective, but yâall want numbers on steamâŚ
Damn you are weak
Precisely.
Now, theyâve done a pretty poor job of it, because they havenât delivered, but if FS wants positivity, it needs to actually put the boot in. Communicate, develop, implement things players want. Itâs only difficult if youâre a stubborn *sshole, which unfortunately Fatsharkâs management is.
Honestly though - we should ignore the troll. He just shows up to whine. At least OJ_Jakal has a cohesive annoyance, this guy is just malding.
Lol you keeping track like a good forum lemming. You got stats on all the forum posts too?
Keep bumping thread, you doing good
What perspective? Go ahead and elaborate.
What have you offered aside from âI can log in nighlty and get pub gamesâ? Thatâs the barest level of minimal functionality, literally everything else you posted was just complaining about other people complaining, and hand-waving literally everything people respond to you with.
You lemmings were saying the game is broken. Cosmetics are âbrokenâ. Guns are âbrokenâ. Sounds are âbrokenâ. Bosses are âbrokenâ. Does this sound like an objective observation?
Too much truth for you?
Dude. You are deliberately ignoring numbers, questioning the use of the most prelevant gaming platform, insinuating that people donât know what they are talking about or just flat out lie. Your only argument is that the game works for you. And the only thing I will agree on is that the game is artistically absolutely stunning. That is why everyone always says it is wasted potential. I however have a different understanding of what a masterpiece is. Witcher 3 on release was clunky, crashing, buggy. All of it got fixed. In accordance to the feedback that the gamers that you despise so much passed to the dev team. And till this day despite not begin a live service game, it gets the devs attention when needed. It is a single player game released in 2015. Right now it has 17k people playing.
Yes, they need to, but this wonât be done by trying to divert every threads to be complaint threads like some other dude tried this morning, atm they see pikes raised at them, and they know the most sure way to not simply do something that will just crash and burn them back is to release a patch. So theyâll keep silent till then, and stealth drop something as always.
These threads wonât make the communication better, those are just signals for FS to not communicate
You seem to be taking a wide array of different postings, aggregating them together, projecting that onto the forum as a whole, and youâre still not offering any new perspective on any of that other than âwell I can still log in and find some people to play withâ and âeveryone here is wrong but I refuse to get into any detailâ.
There are lots of bugs with many of these things, there are lots ways in which they are either not functioning correctly or completely or are not functioning in a way that is really proper. There are clear systemic issues with the game as a whole, hell there are problems in this game that they encountered and solved in other Tide games and canât seem to fix here (notice how nobody complains about VT2 crafting for example) and the decline in the playerbase is proof of that. You can hand-wave the Steam numbers away, but that doesnât actually make Darktideâs playerbase health any better. Those numbers mean something. Other games offering similar gameplay are doing much better often even despite being much older and with far less name recognition.
I disagree.
Fatshark has a very easy way to communicate without pikes or torches and pitchforks.
âHello everyone. Weâve continued to listen and learn from your feedback over the gameâs development cycle. In accordance with this, we plan to implement the following features by [insert date here]:
1: All weapons will now be upgradeable via investment of diamantine in terms of stats. All locks have been removed. We are now adding âredâ weapons with maxed stats as well. We have made adjustments to the shops and the Emperorâs Gift system to favor high-stat drops after level 30.
2: We have now implemented 3 free sets of cosmetics, unlockable via new penances, for every class. We will continue to be adding new free content that can be unlocked via play time and fulfilling penance conditions.
3: Aquilas will now be earnable via mission completion.
4: Hereâs new missions, new maps, and an actual story written by Dan Abnett.
5: Hereâs a massive list of bugfixes, including the ones that are literally just changing a single number in a file.â
But this is a pipe dream.
Fatshark would be best served by making concrete promises and then, most vitally, sticking to them. But they wonât do that, because the promises thatâd bring the players back are ones some idiot obsessed with âplayer retentionâ wonât allow.
And how do you exaclty know that these issues are being worked on? Do you have some special comms with FS? I am really curious where is this certainty coming from? Past experience with the game? Past experience with other FS games? Can you explain how a game that has been released a god damn year ago that has completly wasted the playerbase to a bare 5 thousand players a day is going to bounce back with âstealth dropsâ? Please tell me that you have sources or can confirm that this game will be another Cyberpunk 2077 in half a year.
People want the game to get updated and do better when it comes to how itâs handled from the dev perspective. They donât care about how many players play it because they themselves need that, itâs the elaborate idea that dead game = dead development which is true because why would they really spend resources developing a dead game?
The âinfluenceâ is advice on how to keep playerbase
This isnât asking them to communicate, this is asking them to promise to basically rework their whole system, some for goods some I donât care, plus promising a lot of content at once (So lots of work, so if they promise it, should they wait till itâs nearly ready, and set in stone or announce it far in advance, when itâs still not set in stone)
Things will happen, incrementally, Rome wasnât built in 1 day. And it wasnât build on a smouldering field.
Keep complaining, but do it in useful ways, like @brosgw does
Yes, cause thatâs what happened each time with VT2 ? The VT2 community nowaday love the game, wasnât always like that. And weâve had Catfish tell us that certain things are under reviews, when she isnât getting mogged by imbeciles
Yeah, duh - because the entire system needs reworking.
If they hadnât screwed up so catastrophically, they wouldnât need to commit to that level of promising. As it stands, the best way to get the community to not hate them is to stop with the incremental BS and overhaul things entirely, while promising theyâll do that overhaul.
Sure, but
The problem being that if they promise something they then are beholden to that promise, so they canât give an ETA for such a promise, they canât be to precise, because things arenât exactly like they promised people will still maldâŚ
Anyway Iâm done with this thread, I do want to repeat to Dominik, donât try to divert other peopleâs threads
There never was any Q&A session or dev stream with key game designers talking about game future, plans and vision. Because they know there will be unpleasant questions and they know they canât just say âlol sry our game has been built around player retention and fomo to please our shareholdersâ.
