Genestealers maybe?

Some dialogue has surfaced on the Mourningstar that seems to point to Genestealer cults being a thing on Atoma as well.

  • The only Xenos that would in their right mind be on Atoma for long enough during a full-blown uprising to still be considered interesting/dangerous enough to send Auric-class operatives would likely be Genestealers. I doubt there would be a Tau or Eldar meddling for long - neither of them deal with warpy stuff very much.
  • Why avoid getting rid of your dead? What kind of autopsy or data is needed from keeping them?

the “no dead jettisoned” is actually because she’s using the corpses as wadding to fill spaces in her ship’s insulation until she can get a new shipment of correct materials over. she says as much shortly after.

Oh I never heard the end of that line. That is darkly hilarious.

I say let your mind run wild with which possible Xenos might be in the Deep Hive. No need to constrain yourself to the primary army kits. Could also just be some extra mutated mutants.

Either way the 40k galaxy is full of weird and wacky stuff. Let your imagination go wild.

Taking out the second one, the first one could mean either GSC, unrelated Xenos (does happen in lore), Daemons (Which people don’t know aren’t Xenos), or the Eldar that we’ve had rumoured about:

I hear whispers in my mind. Xenos whispers. A sword, and a crescent, beneath a shifting cloak.

Is this line from the game? When is it usually played?

Eldar would be f***ing cool!

It’s in the Psykanium, it’s part of Sefoni’s Wanderer

Wanderer
  • A warzone is an opportunity for shiftless, aimless folk … Just like you.
I keep touching the thoughts of a Magos Biologis roaming the Hive. I wonder if Hadron knows him?
  • Bounty Hunters are looking for work in the hive. It’s definitely a buyer’s market.
  • I hear that Rax Coran has set up shop in the deep hive. Nasty piece of work that one.
  • It can only be a matter of time before another Inquisitor comes snooping. No trust among them, no. Is very sad.
  • Don’t tell anyone, but Melk has a secret team scouring the city. I wonder what they seek?
  • I hear whispers in my mind. Xenos whispers. A sword, and a crescent, beneath a shifting cloak.
  • There are many strange minds on the surface. We have guests.
  • Who are these Hands of Messelina stalking the streets? I do hope they are not going to cause trouble.
  • I sense a shrouded mind in the hive. A void I cannot touch. You are to keep it away from Sefoni, do you hear me?

The Eldar presence might be like Yrthrian Mardawn in Necromunda, and would be either a new Vocator, or an Assignment target

a new faction would be cool, adding more variety

was used to not like beastmen in vermintide 2, but after all times and the fixes etc, it is a cool faction that blends well with skavens.

and because they did that in vt2, i also hope in darktide they would add something new in term of factions.

i’d hope to see also more Chaos Daemons in general, if i’m not wrong there should be some demon looking like a minotaur :smiling_imp: i’d like the roaster of enemies to be expanded.

was already surprised when they added tox bomber, although it was in the game files pretty much since long time, but it was cool to see a new enemy with new mechanics.

i also hope for genestealers to be in the game, i think they would fit well

Are you thinking of Bloodthirster ?

Those are Khornate Greater Daemons, while Lesser Daemons (N: Plaguebearers, Plague Toad, Nurgling; T: Horrors, Disks, Flamers; S: Daemonettes, Fiends; K: Bloodletter, Hound…) might appear, and we could see variants of the 1st of each God (Eg: Nurgle\Dreg getting Plaguebearers as High Melee elite, Bilepiper as Special and Sniveler as High Ranged Elite, as well as Poxbringer as Lord).

I don’t think (and hope) we will see any faction that can’t be allied to the current factions (Scab and Dregs), so for me it would be introducing 3 faction over the course of years, 1 for each God.

With the reveal that the master mind behind this whole kerfuffle being Be’lakor

Corpse starch has a thousand and one uses! Never leave base without it!

Oh I think i meant something else but also that one looks very cool :smiling_imp:
would be cool to have something like that as boss, something that can be very scary than a daemonhost :smiling_imp:

My hope is for more daemon units first and foremost.

Due to the difficulties with the suitability of the main xenos races for the game ( the fact that almost none will work together with chaos, and very few are suitable for a horde shooter at the current power level) I have always thought that their best bet for a new full faction was a home-brewed minor xenos race that they could tailor to the needs and constraints of this game while also giving them a chance to do something really NEW and unfamiliar and completely alien (think like the similarly chaos-corrupted Saruthi, a race so truly alien they are difficult even to describe).

They have the perfect opportunity in the Noxians (or whatever their misbegotten kind name themselves) to do just that. I had long suspected that the Moebian 6th, after their mass-corruption and conversion might have been sent to establish a beachhead and they would shortly be assisted by their new Noxian overlords and “saviors” but have so far been disappointed.

Maybe in 2026?
