Gameplay issue with "Sprint on toggle / Hold sprint" option

I recorded this clip to show that when you get shot while sprinting, it removes you out of the sprinting mode, even with toughness not depleted.

So when “Hold to sprint : Off” is selected, basically you have to manually repress the keybind between every shot to toggle the sprint again. It feels like a slight stagger, and you can’t slide because you’re now in walking mode.

Whereas if “Hold to sprint : On” is selected, and you get shot, simply holding the key will put you in sprint mode again, removing a lot of frustration, especially for zealots and ogryn players, trying to slide when some shot get through anyway.

A solution would be to remove this “getting shot removes the sprinting mode” mechanic (unless your toughness get depleted, obviously), so the Toggle Sprint could actually not be lackluster against the counterpart.

An other solution would be that if you have the option Hold to sprint on off, pressing the key would activate by default the run option, pressing again would desactivate it… like in 999 999 others games.

I feel pain to my thumb at maintening the touch pressed, and the hold to sprint off is not an option due to the fact of the bug you reported, but also that if you run and stop running it returns to default walk.

The solution is to put the same key for running and advancing but, then, you loose the possibility to manage your stamina.

It should not be too complicated to implement the toggle sprint / toggle off like nearly all other games I know…
