Issue Type (Required):
Performance
Issue Description (Required):
The first major performance drop happened when you changed the minimum requirement of the game to Windows 10 from Windows 7 because you implemented some new GPU software technologies. My FPS was, as I recall, got reduced by a third overnight, and I had to lower the graphic settings.
Then you introduced another Versus. For whatever reason it too, clobbered the framerate. Lowering the settings again…
Then, since you updated the kernel spyware that comes with the game, I mean EAC, not only the FPS is even worse, but now there are also microfreezes lasting for a few tenth of a second every now and then.
My PC did not get worse, and I know how to take care of it. But the only time I had trouble with the FPS in the game before were on poorly designed maps with dozens of dynamic lighting sources overlapping. The Belakor arena in CW, for example. Now I can’t get a decent framerate or stop the microfreezes even at almost the lowest settings, on any map.
The people who I play with regularly, also uniformly agree that the performance of the game got absolutely decimated by major updates. Some of them have a lot better PC than I do, which is not exactly a modern piece, but then again, it did not have issues before.
