Just downloaded and installed a 35 gig update (the whole game is 40 gigs), which is already great and a mark of true engineering genius, which for some reason reset all of my settings in the game (not just the graphics settings, but the interface settings, even the keybinds!)
I’ve restored them to all the same settings and lo and behold i now get about 35-40 fps during hordes while previously i was getting 55-60
Nope. I’ve ended up just setting all settings to low and turning on FSR 2 on ultra performance. It’s incredibly blurry and feels like im running the game at 360p stretched to 1440 but at least it’s uhh “playable”.
Actually on playing the match even at low settings @ FSR max performance im now getting 35 fps in extreme situations, which was unheard of before
One weird thign I’ve noticed though is that even though my GPU remains at 99% usage throughout the game (it’s actually maxxed out constantly whereas previously it would sometimes dip below 99 with cpu taking the bottleneck), it is bizzarely cold. It’s usually at 85-90 for me (5700 xt), but these times it’s 70 c, fully maxxed out, with 30 fps
If fatshark reads this (which i highly doubt), they should take that into consideration. Idk about them but to me this suggests something like a pcie bottleneck or something alogn those lines. Something weird, weirder than just something requiring the GPU to do more work than before.
