Terrible performance since patch

I’m really sorry if this has been answered in a pinned topic. I have had a quick look but I couldn’t find the answer I wanted.

Before the Path to Redemption released I was playing at 4k with almost everything set to high, at around 40-60 fps. Since the patch I’ve has to switch to 1080 and set everything as low as possible and I’m getting 20-30fps with extremely high instability and imput lag. It seams to get worse the longer I play.

All I want is reasurance this isn’t on my end and that it is being looked at by FS?

Fatshark are looking in to it and they are aware of the performance problems as it is happening to everyone. A workaround is to download the beta. It has given me noticeable improvement in performance. Please see the below instructions:

  1. Open the Steam client
  2. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library
  3. Select ‘Properties’
  4. Select ‘Betas’
  5. Enter the password cTYPtKTsfMDsLHAV
  6. Select ‘Check Code’
  7. Select the ‘None’ dropdown, and experimental - Experimental Builds should now be within the list
  8. Select experimental - Experimental Builds
  9. Close the pop-up window
  10. A download should now start

Thanks for the info. I tried it and when I loaded back into the hub area I was getting up to 110fps. Then I played one game which went down to around 8fps. When I loaded back to the hub I was between 5 and 30fps.

So unfortunately nothings changed.

I find it mad how long its been like this without them fixing it. Anyone who bought the game recently will want a refund. It’s so bad for the game.

I agree man. The problems should have been fixed a long time ago and this situation is inexcusable but we still need to be constructive with Fatshark to get this game fixed.

I agree to a point. We paid them, it all on them to fix it. Any help they get from us is purely our generosity and passion for what is normally a great game!
