Game keeps constantly crashing on launch

Issue Description:
I upgraded my rig a few days ago (finally got a rtx3060), but since today i am unable to start the game. It crashes every single time i try to launch it. Already made a clean drivers install - game worked fine yesterday - and verified the game files. What happens is when i click “play” in the launcher the game starts i get a black screen with the loading icon in the bottom right corner my fps go to 90, then boom the game crashes.

Update:
The game launched after deleting the darktide directory, will keep the thread updated if the issue reoccures tomorrow…

This is a known crash and will be resolved in our upcoming patch, however, you should be able to work around this by deleting your AppData:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark
  4. Delete the ‘Darktide’ directory

You may then need to use the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ option via Steam:

  1. Right-click Darktide in your Steam library sidebar
  2. Select ‘Properties’
  3. Select the ‘Local Files’ tab
  4. Select the ‘Verify Integrity of Game Files’ button
  5. When complete, close and reopen Steam
