I haven’t played the game in a while. I know my rig can run this game as I’ve played it before with no issues. But since reinstalling after secrets of the machine god, I have had lighting issues, stuttering in fps, and audio. I have attempted to play several rounds where my comrades all have said their games are running fine. I do not know how to fix this, or if its even something I can fix.
ii’ve been getting lots of stuttering since the machine god update. no settings or hardware changes on my end and no other issues with any other game. i hope they fix this soon because it’s getting ridiculous.
Me too, since the last update, game running bad with lot of frame rate slowdown (60 to 40 to 60 etc). Stuttering too. And when there are many enemies on screen, it’s a real mess. Near unplayable. My PC is good and can handle this game in good condition … but now, the game suffering of bad performances … I don’t want to play it in this conditions. Fatshark, please, do something.
ofc this is just going through the basics of a help desk but…
You’ve scanned your files with Steam to make sure they’re current
You’re on the latest graphics drivers
You’re on NVidia, cause AMD while good, have had bad drivers for 30 years+
You’ve used geforce experience to recalibrate the ideal settings, then turned off any raytracing
After that, sorry, I’m out of ideas.
Note when you start playing, note when the issue happens, send your logs via bug reports pointing to the timestamp with the issue.
This audio issue hasn’t been constant for me but I have had some occasional blips. I’ve had issues in the past with audio source connections hiccuping so I’d double check that your default sources all match, Darktide and PC. Maybe hard select one for both. My only guess.
I had massive FPS/audio stuttering after the patch.
I updated my NVIDIA graphics card driver and validated local files using steam. After that the issue resolved. Best of luck!
To be fair; I’ve also had a few sound issues since this latest big patch. Every now and then I just get a half second where there’s no sound at all; almost like the sound chip has crashed and restarts itself. Only in DT mind you.
And for about 6 months I’ve had rare occasions where the entire game drops to 1fps and I get a screeching sound like someone dragging a needle over a record. But then it stutters back to life and all is hunky-dory again for another few weeks/months. 3700X and 2070Super here / 16gb ram and decent if not top end mobo.
I don’t have any stuttering or framerate issues, but the audio from specials is broken, the chat almost never works, and if we (random teammates) encounter a squad of five Maulers and kill three of them, another three spawn out of nowhere on top of the group we’re already fighting.
I asked the random team whenever the chat works if they also could see the Maulers popping in from the warp, and they confirmed that it was also happening to them.
Although I love it, it seems like the game or gameengine is unable to handle the elite spam that is happening and starts to do things like spawning elites in close proximity out of nowhere.
Not had any issues `til today. Totally unplayable this afternoon.
Cant walk forwards or change weapon in mission & at one point couldn`t even move around the Morningstar.
