Game is running, but not appearing

**Issue Description: I launch the game, it loads fine, getting to waiting for game before disappearing. Steam says the game is running, but It doesn’t appear as a Tab and I have no way of accessing the game. Its open, as it makes my hours of playtime go up, but I cant play the game in anyway. Even task manager says the game isn’t open.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Press play
  2. Wait
  3. Doesn’t load? I literally just clicked play.

I should also add, it was running fine when I first bought it and played the prologue. I was waiting on a friend and my internet went down, and when I got back on that’s when the issue started. I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling as well.

Please upload any darktide launcher or console logs to the post so the devs can look into your issue. Thanks

Also, is there any icon in the Taskbar? (I assume not)

There isnt, the only indication its running is from steam.

The issue is still happening , I really wanna play but this is just killing me.

Try this:

  1. Remove the gpu_detection.dll in the ‘launcher’ directory:
    Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer 40,000 DARKTIDE\launcher
  2. Proceed to launch Darktide as normal, via Steam

I had the exact same issue for me. If that does not work, the fix that worked for me was to delete the %appdata% folder for Fatshark, then doing a verify integrity of game file on steam.

  1. First press Win + R then type %appdata% and hit ENTER on your keyboard

  2. Locate the Fatshark folder and delete it

  3. Open Steam and locate Darktide in your library list, right click > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files

  4. Wait for the verification process to finish and open the game

You’re a real one, thank you so much.
