Game crashes on starup

Issue Description:
Click “Play” on steam. Click “Play” on the launcher. Game shaders load. Game launches and immediately crashes.

I believe this is the result of some sort of streaming webcam driver hooking in to, and interfering with Darktide. Can you think of any webcam software you’ve installed?

Actually I think I was trying to play during a patch update. It worked after I waited half an hour and downloaded an update.

I had this problem too and found in another discussion where if you press Win + R then search Appdata then in the search fatshark in the search bar and delete the folder that says “Fatshark” that is in the roaming folder. it worked after deleting that folder.
