Fury of the Faithful buff idea: Melee doesn't end Chastise the Wicked

You get 5 seconds of +20% attack speed, why not also have the basic 5 second melee buff not end on the first hit? I’m comparing tier 6 feats to what Veteran gets and this seems like it wouldn’t be too wild.

Any other ideas for tier 6 feat changes?

Have Purge The Wicked charges cooldown separately, rather than together. So instead when you pop ult twice in a row, It has a set of two cooldown going rather that one cool down combined.

two 30 second cooldowns going at the same time rather than one minute cooldown for two ult

Double Ult is already the preferred pick in that tier. I don’t think that one needs buffs personally.

I’d probably just increase the duration of fury of the faithful. If it was 10-15 second duration I’d seriously consider it for a number of builds.

even if the full bonus was too much (which I don’t think it is) just the 25% damage buff lasting the 5sec would be great

Scrap the attack speed, just give me the full duration of 100% crit and armor penetration. Ranged attacks already get the armor pen out of the box.

Yeap, 5 seconds attack speed buff every 30 seconds or so is as a silly investment for a Tier6 talent. Other options are objectively stronger and combo better with possible builds. FotF SHOULD be a decent pairing for slower weapons, but 5 seconds is just pitiful. I rather not bother with it at all.

Either buff or replace with a different effect and make Retribution a solid slow weapon choice instead. Atm its also silly, and I don’t think it even affects heavy attacks. Retribution should just trigger on hitting 3 enemies with one swing for 10% attack speed and 4 enemies for 20% attack speed and last x number of seconds.

Getting a little off topic but I’d rather see Retribution tied to martyrdom stacks eg +3% (+4% if we’re being a bit less conservative) attack speed per Martyrdom stack so you can combo it with honour the martyr for a more synergistic and functional Martyrdom build. Honour the Martyr would also need to lower the stack requirement to like 1 stack per 10% missing health but I think with those tweaks you could open up more parts of the skill tree that don’t get used and offer more cross feat tree synergy.

build is extremely weak, you literally giving up damage output at low HP. With no temp HP and HP damage bleed through toughness this playstyle is all “high risk no reward”.

Read all the changes I suggested in totality. You’d have 3 stacks and thus+15% damage and +9-12% attack speed even at 70% HP. That isn’t that dangerous especially if you build around it with HP curios. I really don’t think a Martyrdom build is unfixable, the ground work is already there with holy rev, hence the suggestion to make honour the martyr gain a stack every 10% health lost rather than 15% lost. I really think it’s just a matter of nudging down the risk and nudging up the reward of the playstyle. I’d straight to run the build on Damn with several weapons with the suggestions I’ve made implemented. Heck it’d be downright dirty with Caxe.

I very much want the attack speed buffs to remain because they synergize very well with Heavy Sword.

Suggestions are all good, but this is not how it works atm. Atm you do less damage than with Rising Conviction and the default Martyrdom stacks. Even at maximum stacks. Holy Revenant is a no brainer choice for most builds and popping it makes Martyrdom builds do less damage, not really a good synergy. No where close to what you could do with the VT2’s zealot. Preacher talent tree is undercooked. Like all other classes tbh…

I would be interested in scratching the feat alltogether to allow it something like “heal 2 hp per ennemy hit for 5sec after the ult up to a third (or a half) of your max HP”. So this ult would allow you to play with martyrdom stack while covering for the bleedthrough but not allow a full heal of the caracter.

I know that isn’t how it works ATM hence the suite of suggested changes :rofl:

Yes which is why I suggested lower hp thresholds and trying retribution to Martyrdom stacks to make honour the martyr worth something. We are in complete agreement it’s a dead feat currently.

Honestly VT2 Zealot bonuses were way too free. All reward no risk. Obviously Darktide is too far the other way with its low health build but again I think that can be salvaged by reducing risk a little and improving reward somewhat.

Well yeah all classes have their issue feat tree wise. It’s never been FS’s strong point.

Wouldn’t really fix any issues with the feat tree and would just introduce new problems frankly. Not a fan.
