Foot Knight charge loses one instance of stagger when canceled early

As of 5.1.3, Foot Knight charge does not apply stagger anymore when canceled early.

Base ult

  • Old behavior (base ult): You cancel FK charge immediately after activating to not move in place and still apply 1 instance of stagger to enemies.

  • New behavior (base ult): You cancel FK charge immediately after activating to not move in place and don’t apply any stagger to enemies.

Battering Ram

  • Old behavior (Battering Ram equipped): You cancel FK charge immediately after activating to not move in place and apply 2 instances of stagger to enemies.

  • New behavior (Battering Ram equipped): You cancel FK charge immediately after activating to not move in place and apply only 1 instance of stagger to enemies.

Also, from the looks of it, when now canceling the charge (with Battering Ram equipped), some enemies inside the stagger cone do not get staggered at all.

thx for reporting, wanted to post this as well.

This bug also affects applying attack speed stacks from the Bull of Ostland talent. Makes it so the only the talent worth picking on Footknight’s third row is Numb to Pain. Not being able to cancel the charge and gain the affects from Wide Charge or Bull of Ostland just makes these talents useless.

i am sure it will be fixed soon since it is somehow career breaking when the ult doesnt work as intended.

It is on FS to decide what is working as intended. And maybe they say without at least a tiny bit of run-up there should be no stagger.

Though, I still think it is a bug because if they want to go for some nerfs (of career abilities) there are better places to start than Foot Knight who is part of the better balanced ones.

There was no balance patch and previously there was stagger due to not having patchnotes refering to this change it must be an untintended change therefore a bug.
