bruh
“i said no worse”
as in going from damnation to auric damnation is not as bad as malice to heresy we’re saying the same thing here
Yes
It was just to joke
I understood. But I wanted to point that Regular board histg is really close to auric histg.
we need a boost in difficulty for auric board
I hope you don’t mean “we need to multiply by two the number of enemies spawned”…
that would make the game simply more funnier and engaging, at least for me
havoc is fun for example, it is impossible to say otherwise
but i meant more in adding mechanics to enemies and perhaps reworking ai
in the current state, auric board is just a cake walk, unless you rush to increase artificially the difficulty.
balancing weapons would make also difficulty more interesting.
nerfing dodge distance, dodge counts too.
lemme know when you did a no sprint and no dodge run, i did that and made game more fun, and it also shows that dt would benefit from nerfing mobility in general
but it would be enough also to add just more mechanics as i said before
for example when they added the explosive canisters to flamers, it added a new mechanic for that enemy. many people complained but because they are bad, but that thing made gameplay more interesting and challenging. needs more things like that
Maybe they should nerf base movement
I will clearly disagree with you… I don’t want to get 50 dreg ragers or 20 crushers… that’s crazy.
oh, you cannot. I can however, cause for me, Havoc is a torture. I don’t like it at all. I cannot engage with it… at least actually. I don’t know why my feeling is so immensely negative, but Havoc doesn’t look entertaining for me.
Reasons I identify is: toxicity of mechanics behind, toxicity of players, feeling that it is a competition (ranking), limited builds, uninteresting condition, artificial difficulty, too many weapons useless, too few weapons used and only the OP… really don’t know…
I don’t believe they will nerf weapons… maybe a little DS and PG.
This means that they need to buff everything to this level. If they do, everything will be trivial.
That’s why, I don’t see how we could avoid a balance pass… on enemies (so HP increased).
Under Modifier category 3, Boons, there could be another modifier called Nurgle’s Chosen that reduces the amount of Elite spawns, but all Elite Spawns are blessed with Final Toll and Rampaging modifiers, making these Elites more dangerous to engage. Poxwalker hordes also spawn more frequently.
Trappers would also spawn with Encroaching Garden, making their elimination that much more important.
This could actually be a fun way to shake things up that gradually introduces more Havoc modifiers to Auric players but in a manageable way due to there being less Elite density.
*Note: because modifier categories 2 and 3 would be seperate, this would allow for the possibility of STG Nurgle’s Chosen - fewer Elite patrols and Elites in hordes, but more frequent Specialist waves.
well don’t play it
you are not forced to play it
did some in the new havoc but i never ever found toxic people, literally pubs accepting people just for fun. the only toxic thing is the rank decay and derank
that’s because you think it is in that way, i’m doing havoc fine with mk3 eviscerator which is considered bad, no chorus also
As I said…
Every time I tried to play it, I don’t feel any pleasure. When I encounter such situation, I cease to play something. Life is too short to start to force myself to engage with a feature I don’t enjoy.
I don’t see the link with the mission board and the fact you proposed to increase what I call the spam fiesta.
I just pointed that I really dislike Havoc. And having everything that is going in the same direction is not wise.
To OP, I can think of two reasons for the lack of randomness. One (sadly), lazy coding. And two, to make it easier for people to get certain penances - if you have ongoing dogs, for example, it’s easier to get the relevant penance. Just like running a new map ad nauseam for a week to get your 50 missions.
Having said that, I would prefer for them to allow us to build our own a la carte missions. Though see how it could obfuscate getting PUGs readily built.
I think the Malice Maelstroms are suppose to provide that High Complexity, Low Difficulty power fantasy folks are always looking for. (I.E. a lot of easy enemies to kill)
We really do need someone to make a bunch of new modifiers using pre-existing event/havoc mods and stuff. New Maelstroms and new Rotating Mods for the regular missions. It is really weird we get so much Hunting Grounds. The pool there should be much larger, but I can’t help feeling like the chaps responsible for the modifiers keep moving onto other projects (First maelstroms, then events, now Havoc) and that there isn’t a pipeline to flow these mods into the base mode.
It is the inconsistently. When you match a certain difficulty:
T5 low intensity seems easier than T4 normal
T4 high intensity seems sometimes more difficult than T5 normal
T5 high intensity brings it a bit close to T5 Auric.
T4 high intensity and shock troops somewhere between T5 normal and T5 high intensity
Imagine when you select to match make it will randomly give you a mission of any large variation. Maybe it’s part of the surprise!
To put the choices in the hands of players of difficulty, mission and modifiers would allow tailored experience. Then a system to pair up those seeking the same experience of modifiers even if it means longer match making time or those that choose flexible quickplay to jump into anyone’s tailored experience or be free to start their own.
I imagine if someone made too many very unique combinations of modifiers/conditions to match their criteria would increase match making time or goes solo with AI bots.
The “No ammo” is my favourite. I would play that modifier exclusively. Everyone is hunting for ammo competing with each other and losing priority. Straight melee, focused, up close and personal.
Currently for long time players - Half the mission board is redundant selections.
fun to see people wasting ammo mindlessly and then ask in chat “I need ammo!”
cause they are not aware of the condition xd
I joined one of those by accident one time and I was running around thinking “weird there’s usually ammo in these spots” lol
