Fix bots

they take medicae. they shouldn’t

they can’t push bursters. an update a while back broke this. THIS NEEDS FIX ASAP

they don’t prioritize pushing off dogs/ removing nets

edit

said this in another post, but it would be cool if we could customize our own bot buddy like in dragons dogma and have a team of other players bots. the dream, boys

If only we could at least customize them (class, talent, gear) like in their literal previous game……

Too complicated, gib microtransactions

It’s just sad how after years they finally poorly copied a V2 mod which made bots behave normal and useful.

Then in Darktide the bots are even worse than vanilla V2. FS never ceases to amaze.

They don’t want to spend resources on the bots. Let’s hope that sentiment changes in future updates…

they made bots stop healing in mortis trials, I’m really curious why they didn’t do that in the regular game. even playing with 3 bots I would rather they just do their normal die immediately and maybe sponge some enemies while on the ground routine. I don’t even want them to look at the medicae servitor.

just had a bot take the last medicae from a player who was about to die. wtf man

They did at once point. I remember patch notes saying bots being made to prioritize ressing, freeing players, and not taking medicae if players needed it. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was accidentally reverted or just never actually done per FS’s usual MO.

They should just scrap the bots entirely and make combat servitors as bots, and a eventually a playable class.

oh man. just played a match where we had a fresh medicae, 1 mate took a dose, then a bot TRIPLE slurped. dude

oh and the bot was meleeing a burster instead of pushing. i think someone programmed them to never push bursters in a past update. why? cuz someone complained about a bot pushing a burster into them? human players do that too

In the Bound by Duty update they changed bot behavior towards pox bursters

bots now no longer target bursters at all, the bots will let bursters run up and explode on themselves and you if you’re nearby, so just like it was before that update, and how it will be for the foreseeable future, its best to just let the bots die at the start of each game and to just ignore them, it is literally never worth it to go revive a bot, they could be rescued to help complete mission objectives because if the bots are good at anything, its taking enemy aggro and damage, but thats about it

If the bots aren’t going to be improved an alternative might be for the AI director to alter its behaviour depending on the number of bots present.
