After the community has been asking for “red weapons” for a long time, the itemization update now finally brought us red weapons.
Not in the way that we wanted, but i appreciate the humor.

I actually like these skins a lot. I think I said forever ago when we were clutching pearls around the time the console launch occurred that our make up cosmetics (we hadn’t seen the Moebian 21st stuff revealed yet, just that we were getting it) should be gold red and glorious like the Emperor himself. and here they are in weapon form. great feedback taken
Do the skins only change the colour/material or do they change the mark model too?
They are unlocked when you also unlock max mastery, so you can make a weapon ‘as good as it can be,’ or at least that’s the message I’m getting.
I meant if they change the model of the weapons you put the skin on, for example, if you applied the skin to a MkIII cleaver it magically turns the model into a MkIV cleaver. Most free weapon skins have that issue too. Which is doubly weird because there are skins that change only the colour/material of the weapons without changing the model.
I added the evis skin next to the chainsword skin above.
Do you have a screenshot of the other mark of chainsword/eviscerator with the new skin?
It never ceases to baffle me how the environment designer understands 40k really well… but at the same time it feels like whoever does the cosmetics doesn’t even seem to understand basic appealing aesthetics.
Like seriously?
Who looked at this skin and was like “yep, the playerbase is absolutely going to appreciate this skin! I would love to have a Kitchenknife looking like that! It looks like the Kitchen Knife i bought last week at Aldi!”
Like you could have gone with something like this:
Replace the Eagle design with a Clockwork design and you would have had a perfectly appealing Admech style blade… instead the knife looks like a Flannel shirt escaped into the knife factory.
the chainswords and lasgun looks neat but the rest looks a bit to much like its christmas
The pickaxe looks like a giant candy cane.
Just in time for the holidays!
Yes daggers look ugly…
may the omnissiah strike me down for lack of knowledge, but what´s with 40k and the chess-pattern ?
seen it on floors, banners, weapons etc. didnt strike me as particular “grimdark”
