Feels like a beta?

That mirrors my experience.

They’re independent. They don’t have a publisher and shareholders breathing down their backs. That’s the problem. If they were under the boot of “higher powers” I would understand, but they make their own decisions and set their own deadlines. This is why it’s so appalling,

I dunno man, DayZ still exists and that had a six month period of not having zombies due to how buggy they were. A zombie survival game without zombies turns out to be a hiking sim.

Obviously he didn’t play it.

Hmm ok,

Im curious, why is the fact that they delayed something that’s clearly not ready is so appalling? I mean last time they released an unfinished product (vermintide 2) almost all of the community backlashed, so i can understand their hesitation. Although more informations about the future of the game would be nice.

You misunderstood. I said the exact opposite. It’s appalling that they rush things(game released when not ready, untested “beta” patches going live) when there’s absolutely no pressure from any “higher power” . The community might complain about patches going slow, but if they announced something like “we’re working on a massive patch with tons of actual and working changes, it may take us a couple months but we’ll get there” I think most people cheering for the game would understand and have patience. Instead FS themselves didn’t have patience and now they sort of are paying the price.
