there’s a recurring problem where because of voicelines about morrow’s past people start assuming “next update” will introduce genestealer cults. darktide’s fanbase has a group of people that absolutely take the slightest off-hand remark and blow it out of proportion by taking it all over the internet and i can’t blame fatshark for having to go overboard with managing expectations because of them.

Yknow, that makes so much sense! I couldnt for the life of me understand how the game suddenly felt like it took a giant step backwards on release.
Edit: Also it astounded me that the beta launcher was still available to download for literal years after release. The amount of people that downloaded the wrong launcher was both comical and a shame.

Stingray is a discontinued engine and one with very old techs, not surprised the games made of it have a lot of issues especially it renders a lot of things on the CPU basically makes even laptop rtx4060 useless

Well I don’t have time to look into sources but it’s true selling new games makes more money than supporting existing games, cod business model basically, whether fs decides to actually support the game or not, it’s safe to say that darktide will never be in good shape in time. Very sad.
I don’t wanna be rude but what makes u think laptop is the only device I ever owned? Feels like someone with minimum wage has this mind set. Pretty much anyone has slightest insight about techs and care to monitor their hardware performance via msi afterburner knows what I was talking about, I just didn’t want to turn my comment into a text wall about engine this engine that CPU GPU utilisation this and that.

Not really. I never expected a workstation laptop do actually work without a power source. I bought it with the intention if using it as a mobile workstation whenever I have to work on site or from some random place in the world.
Anyone who expects a 12 core ryzen with a 3080 16gb to work for more than 20 minutes at full power without a power supply is delusional
Gaming laptops are 100% a scam. And I say that as someone who has owned 4 in the past 10 years for work.
