The Zealot and the Psyker’s are the best in my opinion. Veteran’s coat is definitely the worst of the bunch.
I mean you can put out all the condescension you like, but there are practical realities.
It would likely either mean force pairing two pieces of clothing, so that if you auto equip the helmet it force equips the body piece replacing your existing one and vice versa. (may not be possible with how it’s coded, or maybe they wanted to avoid reducing the customisability they have in place, who knows.)
Or perhaps some kind of metal arm that comes out from the neck and torso and holds a coupling joint, like a ring that the hose for the mask connects to at the top, and the hose for the filtration box connects to below. The metal coupling joint would then have a consistent 0,0,0 position in space so that the two hose pieces line up when the dynamics are applied.
… Of course it would look like complete dog sh*t if you did any mixing and matching with other sets… but it would technically work… lol
The rebreather unit on the Krieg chest is huge - they could have made it so that the hose goes in there and then into the body. Then it would look good when both cosmetic peaces are matched and okayish with other upper body cosmetics because random tubes and hoses exiting and entering weird locations are very 40K.
Or they could have chosen a grenadier outfit where the tube doesn’t end on the chest but in back of the neck directly below the helmet. Then start and end of the Hose could both be comfortably part of the helmet cosmetic.
But they chose the most ugly and most lazy variant and are rightfully criticised for that.

That wouldnt work, the rebreather unit would need to be part of the body piece, you can’t have it as part of the helmet, it is too low down on the body. Also even if it was higher up and level with the collarbone it would still leave the hose connected to nothing in thin air if you used a different body piece with the gas mask.
Force pairing two pieces so that you aren’t allowed to customise them is the only ‘clean’ option, but ig they didn’t want to do that for whatever reason.

Correct. And they were right to do so because it worked. People bought them. Thats business. My complaint is decidedly not their pricing practices per se. This is, for once, a legitimately free choice market where people can choose to either buy or not. Demand will set the pricepoint. My complaint is the low quality on presentation.
I am satisfied to pay premium prices for premium products. But this is not one because it is missing absolutely critical details. So i’ma be mad about it and then not buy it. But i’m actually just mad they didn’t do a good enough job to farm my wallet. They could have gotten literally a 4x return from me instead of the 1x they got. All for a missing rebreather hose.

They could literally solve most of the complaints instantly by just adding a way to earn currency via play and making everything available all the time instead of the FOMO rotation BS.
I constantly feel like I’m missing out on a large part of the game (a full-price complete game btw) because I refuse to play for overpriced skins and are stuck with the terrible free earnable cosmetics.

The skins are waaay too overpriced to be considered simple "micro"transactions.

The gas mask helmets, including steel legion, could just remove the hoses when not using the corresponding body piece, just like hair. Not a perfect solution, but far better than no hoses at all.
Very disappointed with the whole cosmetic and aquilla ordeal. Always one step forward and two steps back with fatshark these days.

And even if adding the air hose is not doable, they could at least add a filter to the end of the gas mask. They are also missing the Krieg backpacks as well.

They should not have created such inaccurate depictions of the DKoK uniform and then ramped up the price of the bundles when you’re getting fewer items for more money. Look at these two images and tell me that Fatshark have faithfully recreated the iconic uniform of one of the most popular Imperial Guard regiments:
They have recycled existing assets, upped the price and then shock horror people are not happy with them after their claim that these uniforms took ‘extra time’ to create.

Sheesh, I get that FS has their own style and they often take some creative liberty with warhammer (which is often very good) but these Krieg skins just look shoddy. The ones in the Arma mod look better.
Literally nothing about this justifies the price hike aside from “it’s the skin everybody wants”
the fact that this mask, isn’t even functional is really bugging me
