No DT Lobby Browser… No Chat Block either… whyyyy…!
It’s a bit of a shake-fist-at-clouds stance I have, but I’m firmly opposed to shifting the focus from pure gameplay to meta-anything. I could care less about any reward whatsoever outside of being able to play the game how I want. Obviously I’m not alone in enjoying the gameplay, and I don’t mean to preclude any further Penance updates (I thought it was a good one despite myself), but you absolutely won’t catch me asking for more manipulative engagement-boosters like login rewards (respectfully, gtfo). My engagement is already 110% when I’m in a quality match, as the Emperor intended.
((Matter of fact I don’t even like the Acquila drip-feed from the teat of Melk we got from Skulls this year. It’s whatever though, as long as the collection period isn’t limited – and it doesn’t appear to be, to be fair))
Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to rob players of reward-chasing because a lot of people do enjoy it. I just don’t think the rewards should be mindless grindfests like 1m scrap (speedrunners everywhere…) or cheese-able ““achievements”” that actively detract from the game for everyone, like the infamous ASS.
The solution imo is incredibly simple:
This first, then penances for completing heinous combinations of modifiers. Win/win.
