Faction tease during World Intro Trailer?

Great cinematic Trailer, I can’t be more hyped for this release! This is hands down one of my favorite trailers for a 40k release!

We finally find out what happens to our 4 from the original trailer. This post is to digest some of the images we were shown and lean into some of the future factions we may see.

Above we’re shown some of the side-effects of going into the warp, and how Chaos tries to influence everyone it can. This purple-pink color with tentacles is a nod to the Chaos spawn reveal. But doesnt this color scheme feel a bit Slaneshi?

Its clearly a spawn, but no distant markings to point that its Nurgle, Slanesh, Tzeench or Khrone.

The arms are not mutated to lean to any faction specific direction. I would love for Darktide to have faction oriented CS. It may break the story since it seems Nurgle driven, but having each map roll with a 1/4 chance to be consumed by a different Chaos Faction would be lovely.

The blue strom screams Tzeench!

I have rewatched the trailer dozens of times and I found no red to implicate Khorne and no Green or Rot to distinguish Nurgle. Maybe this is pure cinematics, i cant help but wonder if the other chaos gods want to join in on the fun.

I’m interested to learn more about the story and see if the Jump to Tertium caused any unintended side-effects during the story.

I’m certain there will be no Gods other than Nurgle.
The Warp is almost always depicted as Pink/Purple/Red.

The blue color grading is almost certainly just an aesthetic choice that indicates low lighting and early stages of the incursion.
If it were green that would indicate heavy Nurgle corruption(Late stages of infestation). If it were yellow or red that would indicate good lighting or emergency lighting. This trailer seems to be set in darkness with the power failing so blue works. It also looks cold and abandoned.

That said, I hope my post ages like milk.

After rewatching the trailer, I think it’s just the plasma shots fired from the guy that reflect into the surrounding mist. He does fire a few shots as he is grabbed by the spawn.
