The talent tree will be revealed in an upcoming dev blog.
Gives us time to notice the little things. We can make out what they’re saying to each other, we can focus on the dog on the mauler as a viewer instead of the player crushing 20 poxwalkers at once WHILE that happens. We can make out the oval choke spread on the shotgun used. We see an Electric Trap type of Blitz. One of the other Arbys is using the Shot Pistol + Shield combo.
It’s not exciting, but it shows a lot of the different game play aspects in an easy to watch environment. It shows off a ton of info.
Ah yes. I’m grateful to watch the uninspired foot knight charge being recycled. Riveting gameplay.
At this point the only thing justifying the dlc price increase are the 5 extra voice actors.
I’m pretty sure Crushers and Maulers can’t appear in Sedition, but I haven’t played those difficulties since forever, so…
That Ragers patrol at the end while they were fighting the Spawn, though? Definitely not something you’d see.
Its a command prompted companion by double tagging
I really loved that, lol.
At 6:45 there’s no way that’s the Shield’s special. It has to be an Ability. While it may be similar to Bull Rush, you have to consider that with 4 player slots and 5 classes, an Ogryn may not always be present (or even use Bull Rush), so it’s a different frontliner Ability that doesn’t spread enemies like Bull Rush does, and doesn’t change the Arbitrator’s position to behind enemy lines.
Not here to bust balls, this was nice to see gameplay footage, yet due to no HUD, captions, voice-over mentions of anything to show us what is what for the Arbites, with demo player on lowest difficulty showing barely just a whack, bash, shooting, a grenade, hard to tell when abilities were used, didn’t notice the Cybermastiff being commanded to attack anything nor any prompt of special attacks
The best I can say is the voicelines + weaponry looks great I like to see more skilled gameplay
– this was an extended tease lol
sorry couldnt help myself
Cant wait to play! The dogs look awesome.
@FatsharkQuickpaw Would love if the Character would interact with the shells on top of his gun, replacing them for shots, using them for special shots, etc. any indication/conversation on if this will happen down the road??
Stun bash, at least in 40k its electrified. Kruber only had pointy ends on his shield to smack with.
Bunch of juice in here, including info on the free seasonal update: Darktide's first DLC class gets a cybernetic dog who is a very good boy, and will arrive alongside a free update that structures missions in a campaign at long last | PC Gamer
I don’t want to knock it until we all try.
The class does seem low mobility, maybe a step above psyker, so I am ok with a recycled Kruber charge. Why change what isn’t broken?
because we already have a kruber charge in ogryn?
Great point! Im curious to see how this one will be different to the Ogryns.
The special ammo is just a taser round? Really?
Also the arbites get access to bolters? Ok this shotgun is entirely useless.
Maybe its just me, but I found the footage to be pretty underwhelming.
Looks to be a really low difficulty, and most of the gameplay is just generic melee and shooting. Didn’t see much from skills, grenades, the hound, etc. It was pretty boring.
It seems the base of the class is something like a “little ogryn” plus a dog.
Waiting for the skill-tree reveal
@Khorne_Dawg linked me this, which has good information for what is not clear in the video:
edit: sorry @Badwin I didn’t see that you had already shared this link before I posted.
I think it’s just the players in this video that are really bad to be honest and they also, probably do not have 500 weapons and all stuff unlocked.
It’s not just you…
