I wanted to do a Penance with my friends, but it doesn’t show up…

Wouldn’t shock me if they forgot to reimplement it.
- We have temporarily removed Chasm Station HL-16-11, Magistrati Oubliette TM8-707 and Excise Vault Spireside-13 from the mission board until Grim Protocols releases (Dec 3) due to an issue that would sometimes occur and prevent players from ending the mission.
- A fix for this has been included in Grim Protocols for December 3rd.

Hey everyone! I am actually about to update the patch notes now. There were 3 missions taken out of rotation with 1.5.11:
We replaced Chasm Station and Magistrati with Grim Protocols, but we did not replace Excise Vault yet. The patch note was incorrect and I’ll be amending it now!

I use a CRT and like playing the game around the noon. Rest of the missions are too dark, I miss spire. When do you guys think it will return?
They still make CRT monitors? That can actuall show the game in detail?

It’s an old Sony 19’’ Trinitron that took me a while get a hold of. Brightness doesn’t hold a candle to new monitors, hence the noon remark (can’t see in direct sunlight without sacrificing colors), but motion clarity and response times are stellar. Even better than 360Hz OLEDs.

I’ve noticed that Excise Vault Spireside-13 hasn’t been showing up on the Mission Board recently. My friends and I were planning to complete a Penance together, but without this mission appearing, we’re not sure how to proceed. Has anyone else experienced this, or does anyone know if it’s been temporarily removed for some reason? Any insights would be appreciated!

Hey! It looks like it’s scheduled to return in January. There are some final bumps to be ironed out before adding it back to the mission pool.

I kinda miss the look of CRT monitors.
The way 8-bit etc games were made to look good on a CRT is something that, unlike the other 8-bit influences, thats not been transferred thru the mists of time to the current tech.
When people think of 8-bit graphics they think pixels and blocks and hard lines. But I was there. Golden Axe had depth on a CRT, pixel brightness was just as important as where you put them and what colour they were.
