Error 3013 - Recently purchased, unable to play

Issue Description (Required):

Recently purchased + installed Darktide, and haven’t been able to play past the tutorial. Unable to progress past character select menu, it loads briefly then cancels and produces Error 3013. Please help!

Steps I have taken:

  • UPnP enabled
  • IPv6 enabled in the settings
  • Have verified integrity after deleting the AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide folder.
  • Have TCP/UDP ports enabled on firewall
  • DNS has been flushed + PC restarted

I am unable to do Port Forwarding as advised on here (https://support.fatshark.se/hc/en-us/articles/15604662168477-Error-Code-3013) due to an ISP restriction. Apparently my public IP is used by multiple people, and this prevents port forwarding.

If relevant, I am located in Australia and am using a fixed wireless connection; however I have no connectivity issues.

Let me know if you need any further information, as I would rather not refund the game - it looks great!

Truthfully, I’m not sure you’ll be able to play with a GTX 980M, irrespective of the error!

Even if we do somehow work around the error, I’m not sure how playable Darktide will be. :frowning:

If you wish to continue troubleshooting the error, are you able to connect your PC to a mobile hotspot? This can help with isolating the issue.

Hey Julia,

Thankfully the game seems to runs well on low graphics settings even on my outdated card.

Fortunately(?) connecting via a mobile hotspot seems to not trigger Error 3013 and allows me through the character select screen. New log attached, if it helps.

What do you reckon, did I not do the ports correctly or is it a different issue? Is it something my ISP can help with or can we fix this?

Hi Julia,

The recent patch/event seems to have fixed the issue on my machine.

Should I expect this error to rear its head again in the future? What can I do to help prevent it?
