Engineer Ultimate QoL request

I’m enjoying the engineer but I’m struggling to get used to the controls, because I keep thinking the crank gun is a secondary weapon. I’ve thought about this and my suggestion is the following:

Make it so that hitting the ultimate key again while the crank gun is out, puts the gun away and switches back to whichever weapon you were using - ranged or melee.

It’d make it feel more like an extra weapon and it would make switching between ranged and ulti more easily, without hitting “2”, for players like me which are used to hitting Q for switching. Hitting Q would still allow you to return to your melee weapon if you have the ulti out, like it already does.

As a side note, it would be cool if we could rebind this ultimate specifically to a different key, but I see that may be troublesome.
I’d be really greatful if you consider my suggestion. I’m enjoying the career a lot.

Another great point. Overwatch has a lot of exclusive settings for each character for example.

I would add, make the right click shove, not aim I think that would be a superb quality of life for his ult.

Excellent suggestion! I, too, have been having this problem as well trying to switch between my crank gun and my melee/ranged.

The spin-up for crank gun is necessary to keep your fire rate without having to continue firing. Maybe for the lv 30 talent that removes the spin-up time.
