Some players on Havoc and now the new release mode can actively manipulate enemies spawns, including bosses as much as they want. On Havoc I got boss spawning as soon as the map is loaded.
They do it to frustrate players or get to the very end just to be overwhelmed by several bosses.
How is this allowed ? Can someone look into this ?
Why would I take the time to register on the forum and post something false ? Maybe it’s not a thing for you, but it does happen. I am hoping that someone can investigate this.
Yesterday there were enemies where they never spawn, this is not normal behavior. I don’t know how can I prove that other players can manipulate enemies spawns. I also met people that can crash the entire game on command and bring the party back to the Mourningstar. Again, I have no idea how to generate proof of this.
I don’t know the name of the map. It starts where there is a npc at the end of a straight platform and then you turn left up a ramp. There were enemies and bosses on that point.
I can’t find it right now, but I’ve seen a mod that shows the triggers for bosses and hordes, as well as the triggers that move captured teammates to another location. And someone using such a mod could deliberately step on every possible trigger to spawn all possible bosses (and the number of bosses can vary quite a lot between runs — in two consecutive H20 games, the first had twelve bosses including the Twins, while the second had only six bosses and no Twins)
no clue on expeditions. In havoc weakened bosses can spawn at any point. i think due to them being treated as the monstrous specials modifier. full health monstrosities, captains, and the twins have map progress triggers. from personal experience people dont completely understand that. thats why when you look at any havoc guide they tell you that if a horde or a boss spawns. the best thing to do is to kite back so you dont spawn more. i highly doubt its to sabotage runs, i think its more just mistakes that people dont even know they are making.
I think there were some changes to how enemies spawn (at least in havoc) on Gloriana and Mercantile maps. This is first time I played Havoc in long time, but I assume this is a stealth changes which was introduced by the last patch.
PS.
@Fatshark, next time you design bosses such as BoN, make sure your game designers speak to map designers? Having a BoN or twins push your spawn location, in such narrow spaces as 3 meter wide tunnels doesn’t sit well with a lot of players, and I don’t blame them.
This is not me being salty. There is a clear spike in never ending wave pushing of poxbusters, mutants, flamers and bosses that it is not normal. I don’t know how it’s possible. It doesn’t matter if I am hosting the game but it is clear that one player in the group is spiking difficulty somehow. I don’t know if it’s mods or a modified version of the game that tickles game files but It has to be reviewed. I will stop playing the game for the time being.
Don’t worry I can be salty for both of us. We got BoN, heavy elite presence, and flamers in those tunnels before the drop down on Gloriana. Gloriana has been always difficult due to its rough start section, but that was pure hell there
