This is the "challenge" which top players defend as a good thing (Havoc 40)



In my original thread about Havoc 2.0 imbalances I’ve had people defend the current state of the gamemode, saying things like stacking objectives and bosses is a non-issue.

Here’s my recent 40 run with 5 bosses spawning right after the team drops down to the FIRST AREA. One of them being the Twins (so 1 or 2 bosses extra, doesn’t matter). I thought that’s supposed to happen only when people “rush ahead and force the spawns?” Apparently not.

Same map had 4 daemonhost rituals IN THE SAME STARTING AREA on a different run.

Not only that, but the Daemonhost ritual visual bug STILL EXISTS in the game, with green lightning effect covering your entire screen until you destroy the ritual.

Consignment Yard right now is the most broken Havoc map in the game. But who cares.


^ 100k boss damage in the first area without even exiting the first room you drop down to.

tbh i still think they should keep havoc as is just remove the 9000 bulwark patrols, ammo and hp/toughness nerfs

I enjoy the challenge of H40, but I think that the amount of bosses they have to throw at us to make it difficult is exemplary for the power creep of players and powers.

There is a lot of discussion about what is OP, but personally I would remove any form of cooldown reduction to make abilities situational and not spammable. That would also take away the power from lots of strong abilities such as gold toughness, bubble, venting shriek, taunt, etc. In addition it would make it easier to balance abilities by modifying the cooldown.

That alone should make Havoc much more difficult without requiring to throw multiple bosses at you body blocking you in tight spaces.

Side Note: Almost all my runs that end prematurely do so due to multiple boss spawns.

Who defends it when all these interactions are bugs

The cooldown for weakened monstrosities doesn’t work at the beginning of a map, for example

And Heinous Rituals modifier has broken triggers and DH spawn spots

Every other thread people complained about bosses and everybody told them they only spawn when somebody runs ahead and triggers them, never have people claimed that 3+ bosses spawning at the same time is a bug. This also happens in other parts of the map, not just in the early areas…

  1. I had a run today, havoc 31, daemonhosts, everything was going smooth, beat twins etc, but we lost one guy, so he says that ritual next to him on respawn, ok, we came destroy it, but just as we do, suddenly there’s 2 more rituals somewhere, one finishes almost immediately other also goes fast + horde, end result is wipe.
  2. Havoc 28-29, 4 ogryn team, goin ok, suddenly 2 twins, captain, burgle, lot’s of shooters and gunner, all in corridor, but we had to retreat to open space area, because of bombers. We killed 2 bosses, but that’s it .
  3. Havoc 40 these holydays, hab dreyko, very start, 3 bosses, at least one real, on top of horde. Here some teammates made a poor choice and pushed to open area, where they died fast, while me and one other guy retreated, but i doubt we would survive even with those ogryns.
  4. Past week, my 1st ever havoc 40 success, 2d attempt, but we had to kill hexbound demonhost, why? Because it’s spawned in place where we had no chance getting to.

Havoc40 is a semi-broken mess atm. We just try to enjoy it for what it is.

the 3 or more weakened bosses are a bug. Tied to the timer between monsters not applying at the start of a map.

You can rush and trigger several full hp bosses but several weakened bosses are just bugged
