Issue Description (Required):
The Psyker penance “Empyric Recovery” appears to be stuck at 570/2000 and does not gain any further progress.
The penance requires reducing the cooldown of my or my allies’ abilities while Seer’s Presence is active.
I have deliberately tested the required conditions multiple times, but the counter remains exactly 570/2000.
The issue was first noticed after the 1.13.0 / Depths of the Damned update.

- Select Psyker.
- Equip Seer’s Presence as the Aura.
- Enter a mission with other players.
- Remain within Coherency with at least one ally.
- Use a Combat Ability repeatedly while Seer’s Presence is active.
- Wait for the ability to become available again and repeat.
- Check the progress of Empyric Recovery.
I specifically tested this using Telekine Shield with the Dome of Force and Sanctuary modifiers. I placed the dome whenever it became available while at least one other player was within Coherency.
Despite repeatedly using the ability under these conditions, the penance remained at 570/2000.
Additional testing
I suspected that the issue might be related to an interaction with my Psyker Keystone, so I tested three different Keystones:
Warp Siphon — no progress.
Disrupt Destiny — no progress.
Empowered Psionics — no progress.
The Aura remained Seer’s Presence during these tests, and I deliberately maintained Coherency with teammates.
This makes it unlikely that the issue is caused by an interaction between the penance and a specific Keystone or Keystone-related cooldown mechanic.
Mods
I initially performed the tests with my usual set of mods enabled.
Since the issue could potentially have been caused by a third-party mod, I subsequently disabled all mods completely and repeated the test with the same Psyker build and the same Seer’s Presence + Telekine Dome setup.
The result was identical:
570/2000 → 570/2000
There was no progress whatsoever with all mods disabled.
Therefore, the issue appears to be reproducible in an unmodded game and does not appear to be caused by my installed mods.
Other penances
Importantly, this issue does not appear to affect penance tracking in general.
On the same Psyker and on the same day, I successfully completed:
“Charged with Purpose”, a Psyker-specific penance.
“Chill Out (2)”, an account-wide penance.
These were completed without disabling or changing my mods.
This suggests that the problem is specific to Empyric Recovery rather than a general failure of penance progression.
Expected Behavior
While Seer’s Presence is active, cooldown reduction applied to my or my allies’ abilities while they are within Coherency should contribute to the Empyric Recovery progress.
Repeatedly using and recovering a Combat Ability under these conditions should gradually increase the penance counter.
Actual Behavior
The penance remains permanently at:
570/2000
No progress is awarded despite repeatedly fulfilling the apparent requirements.
I have reproduced the issue across multiple missions and with three different Psyker Keystones.
