The elites, specialists, and bosses does not feel satisfying enough to kill right now.
The elites and specialists are too easy to get taken down even in higher difficulties. Instead of just having more and more elites and specialists during a run. The dev should focus more on the quality of the elites and specialists in terms of its A.I, kill potential, and durability.
As a player, when I see an elite or specialist, even in the higher difficulties, I can solo any of them as long as I blindly unload my ammo reserve and I have almost no fear when I see them. This should not be the case in a team oriented game, when elites and specialists appear, it should automatically strike fear into the players’ psyche with “OH SHT” moment. Certain specialists encounters should also require some form of teamwork. In higher difficulty, a solo player should be fearful of encountering an elite or specialist by himself. This is absolutely not the case right now.
Bosses’ mechanics really need to be re-designed. Most of the bosses are just dumb bullet sponges that just charge at whoever is the closest while the other team members just unload their ammo reserve until it’s dead. Most of the boss encounters feel extremely similar to fighting mutant chargers but just with more health.
The only enemy in the game that strikes fear in me right now is the Daemonhost. But the difficulty of the Daemonhost is totally over-tuned. Daemonhost just teleports right to your face and wipe your entire health bar out, there is no counter play against Daemonhost at all. It’s just unload all of your ammo reserve into the Daemonhost while watching your teammate getting force choked to death. Also, there is no incentive to fight a Daemonhost either since there is zero reward for doing it. There is only downside with zero upside to fight a Daemonhost.
