Daemonhosts are not fun or engaging. You either use a Bolter to melt it, use a shield to tank it, or you avoid it. Every other boss is fun to fight and provides an interesting break in the gameplay. This is just some thing that has a ton of health, constantly knocks you back, and does ridiculous damage regardless of difficulty level.
That’s one, Daemonhost, now what about a stage FULL OF THEM? It’s just ridiculous, don’t know who thought this was fun or if it was even tested but I seriously hope someone talks to them because the person who put this stuff in as something you can run into so early on is seriously disconnected from reality. If Daemonhosts were at least UNCOMMON I could forgive them being so bad, janky, and unfun but they are ridiculously common.
I’m more annoyed by the fact that you can’t see your hand in front of your nose (without a flashlight gun).
Back4Blood did the same thing initially, but later on they toned it down.
But I agree Daemonhosts are strange. Never switching targets unless it dies ? Insane stamina damage on block ? (on anyone except shieldslab ogryn)
It’s like a Left4dead witch on steroids because the team just can’t output enough damage quickly enough unless you’re built for blocking/kiting. Just this evening I managed to survive a Daemonhost, but only because I happened to have a Force sword (infinite dodges) and the talent to raise Peril instead of losing stamina on block. Otherwise, it’s guaranteed death.
