@Basti do you use any software e.g. InterGUI which uses Interception driver to modify your mouse acceleration? If so please try disabling this!
I donāt ![]()
Hm, in case a third-party application that youāre unaware of could be interfering/utilising Interception driver, I recommend trying a Selective Startup:
Press the Windows key
Type āmsconfigā and select āSystem Configurationā
On the āGeneralā tab, select āSelective Startupā
Deselect āLoad startup Itemsā
Reboot your PC
Launch Vermintide 2 as normal
Alternatively, browser searching āuninstall Interception driverā should point you in the right direction, as there appears to be a command line method to uninstall this. Though itās not something Iām familiar with, or can advise on specifically unfortunately.
Getting the same error consistently, reboot and fix doesnāt help. Parse provides :

The only driver applicable present is Logitech G Hub, which is required for Mice. So, the solution is to⦠play without mouse driver? Nice update. Good one.

@tizeY sorry to hear that. From what I can tell, Logitech G Hub doesnāt use Interception driver. So, something else could be causing the conflict.
Looking online, Interception driver errors have occurred with other games over the years, so it isnāt an entirely new issue. There are command line methods involving installing and then uninstalling Interception to specifically remove the driver. Though, itās not something I can specifically advise on at this time.
Or, I recommend checking any other third-party applications you have, in case they have a link to Interception.
Iāve also flagged this error internally - hopefully our developers may have further insight, or weāll look at our options for this EAC version update. Due to the time of day now, it may not gain traction until tomorrow, but Iāll update when I know more.
Thanks for your patience in the meantime!
I have tried booting this in a complete blank Virtual Machine with only the necessary applications and drivers installed, when i say it is the only applicable driver and post the GUID there is a pretty good chance that itās ment.
It is nice to throw terms like Interception around when people donāt know what it is, Acceleration Software which you imply is interpolation based on a predetermined setting that is fixed in an .Ini attached to the Executeable. These programs are usually false positives because theyāre niche and have little effect if any on the people the means are intended to prevent from opening the game.
Patience is relative when the PvE enjoyers pay the price for PvP measures. But rest assured, your words bring me great comfort. Truly.
Solved the problem by downloading the installer for the Interception driver and uninstalling it via command line; I guess some program/software did use it in the past! Everything working fine now for me; thanks for the help/pointers @FatsharkLev ![]()
Seems like EAC client v2506.3 is not liking ReShade again ![]()
The launcher creates a Windows notification in the bottom right corner of the desktop saying something about EAC finding something suspicous in the games files or something.
I knew this was ReShade, so I uninstalled it and now the game is launching again normally.
@Basti, glad to hear that the command line method works for the Interception error!
@LethargicSaga, thanks for the heads up! Seems the EAC ReShade fix hasnāt worked so Iāll need to contact Epic again
Iāve also notified the development team and Iām waiting to hear back. Iāll update again here soon!

I saw someone report this issue on June 30 and now I have the exact same case, on August 12. When I try to launch the game EasyAntiCheat shows a message āUntrusted system file: (\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\HarddiskVolume1\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries_dx12\dxgi.dll)ā.
Yes, and Iāve tried disabling them

It will be because of the new Easy Anti Cheat update (EAC client v2506.3) deployed today
We have now rolled back and deployed version v2505.3 which should hopefully resolve the returned ReShade conflict.
Thank you so much for the help with this issue.
Itās working just fine, thanks a lot!
@LethargicSaga @username123 hey both! As you reported running into the ReShade issue, could you both please share with version of ReShade you are currently using? Epic are investigating and have asked. Thanks!
It would have been the latest one this time:
ReShade Version 6.5.1, standard (no add-on support), released on June 8th 2025.
