IKR? It even somehow generated some text containing an ancient Chinese curse AND a reply post too.
sniffing their own flatulence while hating on the feminine cosplay darktide hater boy ( they hate him cause of his sexuality among other things )
Everything, there’s something globally wrong with stagger. It affects all weapons equally.
On this topic: basically every single community playtester also wants much bigger nerfs for outliers like Dsword or Plasma than we ended up getting. Putting out this new Vet tree without sufficient weapon nerfs to prevent shenanigans like this is shortsighted and not what we all want.
The selection of playtesters is diverse and represents a pretty accurate cross-section of the dedicated Darktide playerbase. Opinions that are popular outside of the playtest are also popular inside of it. We all play the same game and want it to be good.
I’m fine with taking blame for a lot of things but this hesitation to nerf things is all Fatshark.
Well to be faiiir, there were quite a few loud brigaders chiming in, so here we all are, as predicted.
time to see if they fix things before winter vacation oh nvm we all know they wont kekw havoc crashing every 3 seconds rn
Video game balancing hasn’t been the same since the Helldiver 2 debacle I guess.
How dare you underestimate the preparations for the next vacation, do you know how much resources it takes~
Honestly yeah, this thing has long ruined most of my enjoyment of the game. Remove the knife too.
it could definitely do that to trash horde before the patch. Whenever I do that sort of testing, I spawn in healthier mobs, the least of which is a poxwalker. “Newly infected” barely even spawn in higher levels of play and are largely irrelevant for weapon effectiveness comparisons.
The parry is quite strong, but only works vs one target. If you have 2 maulers or crushers on you, it’s only blocking one of them. It can be useful against small groups of elites, but requires proper positioning and timing, of which of course gets a lot tighter the more there are. The parry becomes a deathtrap when too many attacks are inbound.
I haven’t really gotten a chance to check it out on vet yet, but doing 75% to a crusher with some built up stacks and a headshot seems appropriate. They still spawn in pretty large packs. I took down a pack of five or six yesterday with a chain axe.
Thunderhammer definitely outperforms it right now for single target, but not for waveclear.
I think there’s some placebo going on here. I would be able to oneshot maulers with uncharged plasma hits with ult active and a combat stim before the patch. 2shot before the patch without stim.
This update, especially regarding weapons, feels somewhat mismatched. DS, Plasma, and Bolter have become even more overpowered, and with breakpoints shifting and elite enemies getting more HP, weapons like the Braced Autogun seem to have suffered in terms of ammo efficiency.
The cause, I think, lies in the revamped skill trees making players stronger overall. Enemy health pools were increased to compensate, but since non-elite enemies were left unchanged, the imbalance has only grown.
Well, given that this update centered on refreshing the skill trees, it can’t be helped this time. But I really think it’s about time they set a clear foundation and, starting with the next update, carry out large-scale balance adjustments to weapons and enemies across all class trees.
There’s also the ammo stat bug/change which no longer affect magazine size for all weapons that have the stat. And again it has the largest impact on weapons that are already struggling.
Everyone who warned against power creep saw this coming. Yet here we are.
So essentially no high mobilty melee on the vet because you aint enjoying a weapon?
Agreed. On that note you are the Ogrynomican/Tester guy, right?
Is there any intention right now to reign in the classes themselves? While the Ogryn rework was great in terms of flexibility, the player power creep it set off, that Arbites worsend, and now this rework cemented, don’t exactly seem healthy. As you stated, the DS being even more OP than before being a symptom of new global class buffs.
I feel like specifically targeting one weapon won’t solve the issue when there are things just as bad if not worse (arbi maul, purgatus, rumbler, etc.).
I can’t be the only one that considers, rumbler, aoe, infinite cleave and ability spam healthy or fun. Not to mention the enemy balancing issues that arise from it.
Not my place to say. NDA.
Instead of an NDA they accidentally gave me a DNR - which I did sign! - so I can say.
The plan is that the opening trailer to VT3: Age of Sigmar, will feature the U5 exiting a gnawhole into Tertium and showing off their brutal Finishing Moves by murdering the DT characters. Especially the Arbite.
Fair enough. What is your personal opinion then?
One DS out of the three available and you guys should finally learn to differentiate between them, otherwise we gonna again repeat the fiasco with DS V and the entirely misplaced new parry on it!
I’m kinda tired of playing non-meta obscure weapon and having to fear its gonna get stomped because the DS IV whiners are too basic to remember that the sword got different marks!
